The ICC has issued an arrest warrant on President Omar al-Bashir, the SA government has insisted on not allowing him to leave SA until the hearing on his arrest is concluded on Monday.

What is your take on this ? Will it be proper for an African President to be arrested while attending an AU meeting on Africa soil?

I call AU summit the gathering of phools if they allow this to happen and I will not visit South Africa again in my life if their authorities hands Omar to ICC and I will see Sudan as the weakest country on earth.
Even if Sudanese hate their president, they need not allow this to happen to them

It will amount to madness for SA to contemplate on arresting President Omar Al Bashir should the court grant the prayers of the so-called human right crusaders.

SA were signatory to the AU agreement that no sitting Head of State/President should be arrested with respect to ICC's demand. The SA government also assured Al Bashir that nothing will happen to him should he attend the AU summit. The so-called Al Bashir is not in SA for tourism but for "mandatory" AU summit. It amount to madness for a group of people to embarrass the man by asking the court to compel the SA authorities to arrest him. Arresting Omar Al Bashir will mean breaking diplomatic agreement. In fact, it has great consequence on SA.

Anyway, I trust ANC and SA authorities to disregard the ruling of the court irrespective of what it is.

This is a great embarrassment to Africa, SA, Sudan and Albashir.

The relationship between China and the Sudanese government has intensified efforts by the West to act on time against Al Bashir. Afterall, Kenyatta also has a case with the ICC that's being downplayed.

The SA government, who having experienced a lot of suffering, killings and to the point of tagging Mandela a terrorist by the West should atleast learn from history and let Al Bashir go to his country. At this moment, African leaders should begin to form solid alliances and not dissension by dancing to the tunes of the higher powers.

If Al Bashir is not allowed to leave until he's arrested, then the African Union is no union at all.

Thesame AU watched the west while they invaded Libya and killed Ghadaffi. The fire the so called west put up in Libya is still burning and they have not been able to quench it.

The AU still allow the west to have a say despite their show of disrespect by invading libya.

At last al-Bashir escaped the arrest and that should tell us the unity among AU now a days. His escape is not without the consent of all the participating presidents
