People are dying on this road daily and we need to be less confrontational? No one is begging LASG to do its job and spend our taxes on us. No one begged Ambode or any other politician to vie for office. 'Rescue' us from the mess they willfully and malevolently created? Pls count me out of such beggarly civic action.

You're right. But I'm only trying to get you published.

As serious OP, I'm ready to buy you one cold bottle of beer/stout/coke/water.

Seun, Lalastica, mods, please let's get this on the front page.

Anthony to Ajah yesterday was three solid hours despite using side streets twice and leaving Anthony relatively early. Left home at 5.06 this morning and was at work on Lagos Island by 5.50am. Got out of bed at 4.15am today and every working day. I thank God for a relatively solid constitution and the grace to afford a driver. We keep praying for those with weaker constitution and / or who lack the means to pass some of the stress to a driver. God will also save us from the leeches in agbada who fill our government houses.

BTW the papers are reporting that NASS member are getting N8b next week as agbada allowance. No wonder most states can't pay wages. Too much waste at the federal level and too much wasted on governance generally.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that article, I thought to myself, "Is this administration going to be business as usual?"

Feverishly waiting for Buhari to put his foot down...at least I'm hoping.

Appreciated bro but I would rather pay for a full page advertorial than appear to pander to the over bloated ego of naija politicians. Again, thanks.

Memo to Ambode: Build the Three Flyovers Lekki ‘Expressway’ Needs

Mr Governor, welcome to Nigeria’s second hottest executive desk. I would like to start what I hope will be an eight year series of engagements by sharing my thoughts on possibly the most contentious issue in the Lagos political space in the last five years. I want to propose to you and the residents of Lagos, who you are sworn to faithfully serve, a low hanging solution that will resolve the contention over provision of equitable and efficient transport infrastructure to the Lekki Peninsula.

Everything shouldn't be centred around the island alone. The mainland is suffering from decay that needs urgent attention.
is mainland ready to pay toll like lekki?

Ajah roundabout is completely infested with pools of commercial buses, countless number of tricycles, traders on every cardinal point of the roundabout (islands and side-walks inclusive). Please is that not madness? Even more madness that present government is completely adamant about the abuse of an infrastructure built and expected to be maintained with tax-payers' money. Fair enough, men in police uniform are often seen on the roundabout but totally dismaying that there is no sight of law & order being enforced. Infact handshake exchange with naira notes in-between are often seen between commercial drivers, touts and the police. Bus drivers, tricycle and okada riders are now "kings of the road" inflicting pain to the noble and law-abiding private driver whose tax each month (that he obediently pays) can possibly buy 2 tricycles. Well, maybe someday Governor Ambode will wake up to consciousness and attend to the call of duty. What will it cost to build a bridge at every roundabout on lekki-epe expressway (jakande and ajah roundabout especially)? Definitely not more expensive than the luxury flats springing up all of a sudden in Ikoyi axis, probably owned by beneficiaries of His Excellency's government. What will it cost to relocate the bus parks and markets that have infested (like virus) the roundabouts to a dedicated inner corner and have them execute their business in a controlled manner without interfering with the Expressway? Hey... It is not rocket science to govern Lagos efficiently and effectively. Just have the political will to do the needful! This is where I personally duff my hat for Babatunde Raji Fashola for his success as Lagos state Governor. His shortfalls regardless but the now Honorable Minister walked his talks more often than not. Lagos state is a serious business, not for Ajebos!

May God bless you one million times on Sunday. I don talk dis thing tire, but nobody is listening. May God deliver all commuters on the Lekki-Epe expressway from chaotic traffic, and incessant road madness. It gets even worse when there is fuel scarcity, and the queues form on the expressway at the entrance of any available station, selling fuel. It took 1 and 1/2 hours to navigate 3rd roundabout at Ikate to 4th roundabout at Oando station today. May God save us all. sad
