finicky:My brother, you know some people are employees in the private sector that they may not be too disposed to working days. The said day "Saturday" will help get the numbers, then the march to Alausa. People will join if we are serious. Some of us that can afford to remain at the protest ground to welcome the state legislators on Monday will do so. Some people may join that Monday and you never can tell the spark it will create and the effect it will have. Just an idea bro |

joseph1832:the RMAFC only execute whatever the NASS approves. It is usually reviewed every 5 or 8years if I'm not mistaken. They have no power to slash even if they want to. The bulk stops in the NASS |

Whynotthetruth:This is how we do it,let's do the protest, and we will state it categorically during interview to the media that we will recall any I repeat any of the law makers that collect the wicked and barbaric allowance,we will go to their various constituency,we will malign them, expose them, and disgrace them, and they should not think about re election |

@barcanista, we shouldn't just go and protest like chickens without heads, what exactly are we fighting against? The wardrobe allowance is chicken change because these legislators get 250% of their basic salary as constituency allowance. That should be our FOCUS. |

PassingShot:There will always be poor people my brother beside i dont think all these money is our major problem,Nigeria is damn Rich! if government can stop corruption this country is going to be like DUBAI,they have been collecting this money since 1999 and am sure Barcanista knows it he is just being an arse looking for a way to bring down the new government |

Whynotthetruth:. . . . . . . . .the day I apologise to you, Nigeria will be a first world country . . . . . . . . . . .goon, the closest you can get to my sister is via your imagination with your hand in your trousers . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .if you look at how high the mountain is, you will never climb it . . . . . . . . . .in other news, the deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yussuf seems to be the person most supporting this bounty . . . . . . . . . . .he can be made the face of the wardrobe allowance . . . . . . . . . . .and the scapegoat theory can be initiated on him |

bettercreature:Nigeria is not rich at all, well not anymore anyways. Richness to me is high Gdp (per capital), and High Hdi. We are not even in the top 30 in either. |

Kolade354:Bros, you de vex o! U still wan chop your own share? Obiagelli:They collect 250% as constituency allowance and another 40m each every quarter for "Constituency project" (all end up in pockets). This protest should be for the suspension of the proposed N9b payment first. Then among ourselves we nominate people to thoroughly look into the earnings of these legislators and we all propose a new one for them and real cut. We take this proposal to the NASS and force them to pass it into law for implementation (this should be the long term focus). Right now the immediate one is the N9b allowance that they are planning to take next week. We can't afford to fail |

Whynotthetruth:We wait for @barcanista and @omojuwa final resolution on the timing, once the time is set,we look at logistics and how we can have free non violence protest without it been hijacked by tout and agberos |

Dollyak:he probably meant to say Nigeria has potentials. But we are not a rich country yet. Our GDP, HDI and others testify to that. |
| Re: NASS N9 Billion Allowance: A Proposal ( Call) For Civil Disobedience by Nobody: 12:09pm On Jun 17, 2015 |
barcanista:Even though I believe all issues be tabled at once, I support this movement. |

bettercreature:That things have been done wrongly since 1999 doesn't mean we have to carry on with it in 2015 especially when the nation is bleeding. Besides, this is a step toward the fight against corruption as I see this as a disguised corrupt practice. I understand your misgiving about the OP but this is a fight for Nigeria. A fight to start the process of taking back our country from the corrupt politicians. Btw, the money was approved under GEJ's administration and not PMB's. |

torkaka:Your first two responses to me qualifies you as a kid... Anyway, have made my point because I believe in reality and feasible ideas not building castle in the air or dreaming up utopian ideas...the practicability of recall is nil in the interim...thanks and good day... |

PassingShot:The only solution is to reduce people in Government, either 3 rep from each state and 2 senators,As Sanusi said Nigerian Politician are consuming close to 50 percent of the total revenue generated in this country,People in government are just so many |
| Re: NASS N9 Billion Allowance: A Proposal ( Call) For Civil Disobedience by PassingShot(m): 12:18pm On Jun 17, 2015 |
bettercreature:There are many solutions and to stop (or reduce) the wardrobe allowance is surely one of them. |
| Re: NASS N9 Billion Allowance: A Proposal ( Call) For Civil Disobedience by Mamaflex(f): 12:19pm On Jun 17, 2015 |
Obiagelli:Me think all issues should be tabled at once too. Barcanista see to this. Its more reasonable. Instead of going back there again should another issue surface. |
