The Chadian Army has confirmed that its troops are carrying out airstrikes on Boko Haram positions in Nigeria.

This is in response to a deadly attack carried out by the terrorists in N’Djamena, the Chadian capital on Monday which killed at least 27 people and injured 100 others.

The attacks on Chad by Boko Haram took place simultaneously at the police headquarters and a police training school at about 9am
So its like, Chad is America while Nigeria is like Afghanistan. Bokoharam, reputedly carried out terrorist attack in Chad capital, so Chad unilaterally came and bombed people, reputedly terrorists on Nigerian soil. So, while Chad is putting you Nigerians in your place, you Nigerians are simperingly begging to join other African nations to form one Nation sharing passport and currency?. embarassed

Oh, yea gods, please one day send someone like me to rule Nigeria....

Is it possible that Buhari identifies more with Chadians and Niger people? Therefore to Buhari northern Nigeria is an extension of Chad and Niger and Idris Derby is the president of Chad and northern Nigeria, which is why Idris Derby has a swagger in his step while Buhari, as his vice president or minister of foreign affairs, walks around meekly and tries to bamboozle Nigerians into adopting the humble persona?

I believe, as a Nigerian, we should always honor our elders and leaders and so i honor and respect our president Buhari as i did Johnathan but sometimes...

Buhari told them an attack on boko haram is an attack on the north.

Buhari is not in office.

This should have been evidenced by his non-appearance to inaugurate his own NAss as president.

Also have you seen him attend any live event in Nigeria since inauguration?

Presidential villa remains empty.

Please shine your eyes!

Perhaps the news is fake, the site appears a little sparse...

One thing though, if this is true, then it is a good illustration of why I'm suspicious of those advice Nigeria get's often from Western Leaders, encouraging regional alliances and economic ties and development as a means for us poor African Nations getting out or relative poverty. While the advice may be good for the smaller poorer Nations of Africa, it is difficult to see the benefit for a nation Like Nigeria that has over 170 million extremely divers population. We have all we need in Nigeria to become a relatively well developed nation.

Allegiances such as the ones often envisioned for Nigeria by outsiders who secretly mean us no good only enables foreign powers to dictate to Nigeria and control us indirectly because they directly control those who would be our partners. For instance, it is doubtful Idris Derby would sanction his warplanes not only violating Nigerian airspace, but bombing so called terrorists, without the encouragement of the French and Americans. And, of course, even if Buhari knew nothing about the orders to bomb Nigeria, he will have to act as if he did to the media and to Nigerians to save face. And once he allows this, it becomes easier to allow other humiliations couched as collective allied actions.
