A broken pot, even when fixed can never look like the original.

In the months to come, Saraki will realise the enormity of his betrayal.

Conceding the Deputy position to PDP is the height of betrayal....he will never be trusted by any reasonable person and would always be viewed with suspicion.

His victory is a phyrric victory. He lost more than he gained and will be served at the appointed time.
dis is so so true. How can anyone, even his closest allies trust dis guy ever again wit what he did in d full glare of d whole nation. It's unfortunate dat dis EFCC suspect will be our virtuous president's partner in his fight against corruption.

The game of power is an amoral game quite all right. But in this game your reputation is your capital, your must gaurd it with your life.

Do you think Fashola is a saint,...but check out his reputation.

That is why you must use the cats paw to do your dirty job for you... and keep your nose very clean. You can never pin anything on Tinubu, everything he has accrued to himself is illegally legal.

Saraki has created a reputation for himself as a Judas, it will be extremely difficult to wash and nobody wants to deal witn a Judas.

He could have gotten his friends in PDP support, then allow his rival to be there for the election and still go ahead and win while and not vote in their abscence and turn himself into a political leper.

The end justifies the means my brother. Saraki is Senate President and Lawan may never be one in his life. Reputations may never be needed As long as you get what you want. The No 3 man of Nigeria was at stake, a position this might be their only chance to get. Saraki put everything at stake to getting it

Secondly when you guys talk of 'saraki should have waited' I am surprised. Is saraki the clerk or the electoral Chairman? What do you mean by waited? Was he the one that told the clerk to start the election? Did he have any power to tell the clerk to go on or wait? I don't think saraki had a say or influence to tell the clerk to wait for his colleagues. The Clerk was on an assignment which the President asked him to do. Even if saraki was not there, the 49 Opposition Lawmakers would go ahead with the election which would have been more catastrophic.

I DON'T TRUST POLITICIAN -- Pst Adeboye. The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye on Friday stated that he does not trust Politicians. Pastor Adeboye stated this at a two day interdenominational prayer session held at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile ife. He said politicians in most cases hardly fulfill their promises. Pastor Adeboye justified his position by telling a story of three travellers – an Indian, a Jew and a politician. He narrated that while on their journey, the three travellers had some challenges, and went to a farmer for help but the farmer said he could only accommodate two. He said the Indian volunteered to sleep in the barn but returned a few minutes later that there was a cow there.... The Indian, said he can’t sleep there because cows are gods, worshipped in his country. The Jew also came back complaining that the pig inside where he was placed was unclean, but when the politician volunteered to go and sleep among the pigs. Instead of the politician to come back complaining, it was the pig and cow that came knocking, asking the politician be sent away because he had promised to make the environment, including the barn, conducive with air-conditioner. Pastor Adeboye said “I don’t trust politicians; politicians are liars. They don’t fulfil most of their promises. A politician can tell you that they will give all of you (students) chicken each, which we all know it is impossible.” Pastor Adeboye advised Nigerians to stop worrying themselves about who would emerge winner in the next election, as God is a “master planner,” who already planned the leadership development of Nigeria. He said, “Stop disturbing yourself about who will be the President of Nigeria. God has already planned who will be the President of Nigeria. God has already planned that before we were born. God is not like human beings, who doubts what is to be done. He has plan for everything.” The Vice-Chancellor of OAU, Prof. Bamitale Omole, commended Adeboye for his yearly presence in the university, saying his divine intervention were having positive impacts in the school. “We appreciate the love of Pastor Adeboye. With God and his presence last year, we had no calamities and also emerged as the best university in Nigeria. I urge students to be prayerful and cautious of what they do as God will continue to protect us,” he said.

Just because of his personal interest, he gave to the dogs (PDP) what Belongs to his family members (APC). He has decided to pitch his tent with PDP as such should be treated as a traitor.

Great

- Saraki has killed the passion of CHANGE in the country.
- he can enjoy the offer while it last.
- the best for him is to be independent minded in this tenure.
- I suggest if he can call for a rerun of election for that seat.
- he would certainly lose the support of Executive and Party in all dealings.
- he should also expect a "coup" in the senate soon if he does not note the banana peels. One is the current call for review of allowances.
- Baba would have advised him on doing the needful.
Even if 4 year old nephew will not reason and lament like this what a shame

If you realy want advice why go to obasanjo instead of david mark that is experienced in that office. Come to think of it, must everyone go to obansanjo once they are elected into an office? What then will become of nigeria when he finally dies because it seems this man is politicians only mentor in nigeria. Am still wondering what this man did in his own tenure that made him a legend in politics to nigeria politicians.
