It is with disgust I write this to all members of this exceptionally great thread.

The only motivation we get from posting job advert on this thread is by reading your feedback which in turn helps other to make informed decision, but for the past 15 pages we have not had any feedback, imagine if we did not have feedback, how would you know what questions would be asked and how to prepare for the interview?

I am well aware that some of us used this as a spring board to better jobs but that is not enough not to post or contribute to the growth of this thread. The thread would outlive some of us.
Shout out to the Great Golden Dr., Corkqueen, Givemejoy, Ofumaria, Pastordoalone, Choirmistress, LaurelP, Odunharry, Upload, avicky, Manie, xtfield, Islamics, Kendraloops, VickyHills, Queenex, Chrisdenil01, Oluemmakay(a great beneficiary of this thread), visiting Professor, Larry37, Glocee, Makazona, funminicrown, 2str8, Marvelito, CaptainDo(a beneficiary too) coolhamid, bettydee, Sunnypar and IDrock(Deputy Op).

Please for those always requesting for vacancies in specific location, "we" always advice you go to schools within and around your locality to submit your resume.
Meanwhile, the get-together is taking place soon... Do not miss out on this wonderful opportunity.

I read this and got really inspired, thought to share hoping you also get inspired.........................Good article..

Ducks Quack, Eagles Soar
I was waiting in line for a ride at the airport when a cab pulled up, the first thing I noticed was that the taxi was polished to a bright shine.
Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, and freshly pressed black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to open the back passenger door for me.
He handed me a laminated card and said: 'I'm Wasu, your driver. While I'm loading your bags in the trunk I'd like you to read my mission statement.'
Taken aback, I read the card.
It said: Wasu's Mission Statement:
To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheapest way possible in a friendly environment
.
This blew me away. Especially when I noticed that the inside of the cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean!
As he slid behind the wheel, Wasu said, 'Would you like a cup of coffee? I have a thermos of regular and one of decaf.'
I said jokingly, 'No, I'd prefer a soft drink.'
Wasu smiled and said, 'No problem. I have a cooler up front with regular and Diet Coke, lassi, water and orange juice.'
Almost stuttering, I said, 'I'll take a Lassi.'
Handing me my drink, Wasu said, 'If you'd like something to read, I have The Hindu, Times of India, ET and India Today.'
As they were pulling away, Wasu handed me another laminated card, 'These are the stations I get and the music they play, if you'd like to listen to the radio.'
And as if that weren't enough, Wasu told me that he had the air conditioning on and asked if the temperature was comfortable for him.
Then he advised me of the best route to my destination for that time of day. He also let me know that he'd be happy to chat and tell me about some of the sights or, if I preferred, to leave me with my own thoughts.
'Tell me, Wasu,' I was amazed and asked him, 'have you always served customers like this?'
Wasu smiled into the rear view mirror. 'No, not always. In fact, it's only been in the last two years. My first five years driving, I spent most of my time complaining like all the rest of the cabbies do. Then I heard about power of choice one day.'
'Power of choice is that you can be a duck or an eagle.'
'If you get up in the morning expecting to have a bad day, you'll rarely disappoint yourself. Stop complaining!'
'Don't be a duck. Be an eagle. Ducks quack and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd.'
'That hit me right,' said Wasu.
'It is about me. I was always quacking and complaining, so I decided to change my attitude and become an eagle. I looked around at the other cabs and their drivers. The cabs were dirty, the drivers were
unfriendly, and the customers were unhappy. So I decided to make some changes. I put in a few at a time. When my customers responded well, I did more.'
'I take it that has paid off for you,' tI said.
'It sure has,' Wasu replied. 'My first year as an eagle, I doubled my income from the previous year. This year I'll probably quadruple it. My customers call me for appointments on my cell phone or leave a message on it.'
Wasu made a different choice. He decided to stop quacking like ducks and start soaring like eagles.
Have an eagle day..next day... And next...And....
A great Thought..
"You don't die if you fall in water, you die only if you don't swim.
Thats the real meaning of life .
GOOD day Eagles.

Listen everyone cos I can see people giving information anyhow.....

As an experience marker for 7years and still counting this is what you should expect..

One: as a gatecrasher. Don't be discourage and sametime u should be. U can only get parcel to mark if and only if old timers are been cleared cos those that have been marking like me have my own parcel Number and which nobody, I mean nobody can claim except me.... it's when am not present until after the last day of coordination and have been contacted then and then will they give my parcel out to any gatecrasher.... I mean until all old markers has been cleared and given their parcel then and then the gatecrasher will be consider for anything..... remember they still do their political stuff in it... give to who I know first before u wey them no know go see... and the following will be consider if u as a gatecrasher will get parcel to mark.

Attendance is compulsory cos during the three days coordination attendance will be taken and this is what will be used as yardstick to consider u further.

Ur certificate should be intact, not photocopy I mean original to be seen and approve by the center Waec cordinator..

Secondly : about the pay, it varies by subject as Waec pay some subject higher than others.. English remain the highest pay, literature maths, physic and chemistry follows like that... u don't expect to mark biology, crs and others and be paid equally.. Waec won't chest u... and also u don't have degree in home economics and u want to mark English, sorry u will not be given any parcel, ur fate is in home economics

Thirdly : compulsory coordination for three days and u must be present and attendance will be taken.. old timers are safer here and gatecrasher are taken seriously, I mean seriously. Ur chances as gatecrasher depends on the old timers not present or some people drops that is when u should have hope. Am not scaring u out but it's the plain truth.. Waec don't need novice to handle their script.

Damaged, missing, mutilated scripts then u find urself in the police net without negotiations.... even on ur sick bed, Waec will come and collect their script, even in ur grave they won't spare ur corpse for their script, they will wake u up and collect their scripts then u can rest in peace.. bitter truth.

Let me wish u all Goodluck. Coordination starts today at various centres across the nation then u can visit one..

I am in Asaba, delta state that is where I have been marking English language. If u are in Asaba, come to AGGS. See you.

Let us not call a spade a spatulous object for abrading the surface of the earth. Let us simply call it what it is; A spade. That people snap up job vacancies here without giving feedbacks after attending such interviews is the height of insensitivity. Funny enough, this lackadaisical attitude of 'No feed back' is becoming contagious; As some of us who were of the habit of always giving feed backs have refrained from doing so.

I've been observing this trend for quite some time, and honestly it's worrisome. Out there, people request for cash, recharge cards, and even s*X to connect unemployed people with their prospective employers. Here, we only request for feedback and nothing else.

The last job I posted here recently was actually offered to me by a friend, but I told him I would pass it because I'm presently occupied with some stuff. Sadly, no one has come hear to give feedbacks. And I'm sure they would have gone for the school's interview. Such ungrateful attitude!

Let this be an appeal to all those whose habit it has become to always snap jobs from here without giving feedbacks in return. You should know for sure that you're being ungrateful. A word they say.....

Meanwhile, is there anyone here that got the invite from Thomas Adewunmi College, Omu-aran, Kwara state. Of all the invites I've been receiving lately, this particular one seems tempting. Already, I've scheduled my interview with them on Sat July 4th. If there's anyone who got their invite, please open up so that we can share ideas. Funny enough, I already have interviews slated on July 2nd @ St. John Paul's Sch Ikoyi, July 3rd @ St. Jude Private Sch Festac, and now this one on July 4th.

It's really the opening of the teachers' transfer window (as football lovers commonly call it). It's gonna be busy henceforth, but without regular feedbacks, I guess it's going to be a boring thread. Peeps! Let's keep this thread rolling with feedbacks.

P.S: Please, whenever you're to mention me, kindly put my moniker. Else, it might take time before I stumble upon that 'Visiting Prof' title up there. Moreso, that 'Visiting Prof' is just an honourary title and could be withdrawn upon the whim of the conferrer. Lolz!

Ravensckar....... You just spoke like a professor with impeccable ingenuity of utmost class. I know you cannot stay long in the favour market after your inglorious exit. If I were to choose, I would choose Ikoyi, but truth be told those schools you mentioned are standard schools where one can make a career. *scratches head* Prof., we suppose see you for the get-together..
@Upload111, so, because of feedback....you refused to post, but bros the thing is so annoying when you do not get feedback

Lolz!
The Visiting Prof himself! That title of urs was meritoriously conferred on you by the award committee, Govt Sec Sch Bakassi. Chaired by Corper Faith Akobundu. And so, it can't be withdrawn by just any individual. Gerrit?

Meanwhile, ur posts never cease to amaze me. Little wonder why you could walk out on Laureates. Idealist like you definitely know what they want and how precisely they want it.

As for those No feedback crew, una case they court o. Like the ancient yoruba adage said 'Eni buru mo, eni to ma so fun lo n wa' Even u folks know what u'r doing is bad, it's just that you needed someone to reprimand you... Please ehn, in the spirit of goodwill, let's always endeavour to post feedbacks whenever we go for any interview.

As regards those schools you listed up there, no f*ck up o. It's St Jude Private Sch @ Festac or nothing. It costed 'us' a lot getting ur CV to be acknowledged, and now u wana turn ur back? I go vex o! angry

As for that person who's thinking he'll attend the get-together, u'r standing on a long thing. Although, it's not that I'm the one controlling him, but he'll only come if I also volunteer to come. Figure it out! wink

@Ravensckar. . You've done well. I doff my hat.
I will choose Adewumi College amongst all the schools you listed. I prefer any other state to settle down in apart from Lagos. If not for my masters that I'm doing in Ife, I would have applied there. That might be my next point of call. wink I wish you the best in your future endeavors.
