If this is ur case...pls say so. No, u must not do an M.Sc...Proftaiwo didn't but it looks like most 5-yr majors cut it. If not you find how else to cover for it or meet up. It is a good thing his work experience is found suitable but no migration points oh. |
| Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by NNBB2012: 11:16am On Jun 20, 2015 |
BKings:It's strange to read from your post that Engineers Australia needs 3yrs work experience before one could be assessed. It is not so. However, you may find it difficult to write your CDR particularly if your degree is non-accredited. Also you won't get any point for your migration. It doesn't matter the type of company you worked with. Just get reference letter that meets Engineers Australia specifications from them. I would strongly advise you to go for assessment in Mechanical Engineering instead of Telecomm so that you won't be given Engineering Technologist at the end. |

mrnilobrawn:Hi bro, how was the trip? |
| Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by BKings: 12:16pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
NNBB2012:Forgive me bro, am very naive about PR...never had interest. I guess my degree is non-accredited since it a Nigerian degree. So please how do I go about it, since I must write the CDR? Also, the reference letter I already have from them is not detailed. Should I go back to them and appeal to them to detail it? Like what and what does EA really want to see in the reference letter? Thanks bro |

mrnilobrawn:guys we should be careful how we insult our dear Country on public forums such as this. so out of the five or so international airports, there is nothing good you could say about them? Change begins with Us you know. if we don't respect our country then how do we expect other people to respect Us? |

Hello sirs and ma'am.. I am new here... I am interested in Aussie's PR. I have 3.7 years work experience (including NYSC), I know I have 45 points, not too sure(am 25, I have a B Eng in civil engineering, no wife).. I am yet to write my IELTs exams (I am yet to register), I have read the EA website, I don't seem to understand it that much... Summary of my story, pls where do I start from? Thank you. |

SeyiMiilan:IELTS first....score 8.0 or above and go deal with EA...Superior bands across the board will give u 20pts and grand total of 65 ..then move on to EOI and u cld be invited for visa lodgement within two weeks. You mean 3yrs of relevant work experience won't even get u 5pts? If u do get, that will relieve u of the superior bands as 7.0 or above all bands will do the math-60pts. This is my understanding. .let ur pple come with CDR and stuff. |

Has your visa expired? You can do something about your situation Posted on May 19, 2015 by kristen If you are in Australia and your visa has expired, you should contact our Community Status Resolution Service (CSRS) as soon as possible. CSRS_WebsiteTiles_300x300 The CSRS is a free service that works with people who have overstayed their visa to help you work through your options. If you work with us to resolve your immigration status, you may be granted a bridging visa. This lets you stay in Australia for a short time and live in the community while you resolve your immigration status. If you are found living in the community without a visa, there are serious consequences. You have a choice – do something about your situation and contact our Community Status Resolution Service. For more information, visit www.immi.gov.au/csrs or call 1300 853 773. Posted in Migration, Uncategorized, visas |

Hi Engineers in the house, it's been a week since i noticed my status on Engineers Australia portal change from queued for assessment to assessment in progress. I also received an email to that effect. Incidentally, this week also makes it the 13th week since I submitted. Please, how long does it usually take to get an outcome after this notification or do I have to wait much further? Thanks |

Was urs online submission or paper submission? Anyways, I did mine when it was stil hardcopy,I made my payment 10 Dec 2014, my assessment letter which I finally got on 4 of april 2015 was dated 5 march. That's 5days less than 3months scrollmeout: |
| Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by scrollmeout(m): 8:46pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
Ifexsco:Mine was online. I actually paid on March 26th, making the 'incoming' week the 13th, sorry. The current turnaround time is 13weeks, so I'm rather surprised they are just commencing the assessment. |
| Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by chuckdee13(m): 8:48pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
I contacted EA recently asking how long assessment takes n they told me accredited qualifications takes 11 weeks,non-accredited takes 13 weeks n this is usually d minimum n depends on the number of qualifications they're assessing at that time. so bro the only thing u can do is wait. don't worry when it comes out u will be able to apply for ur visa early in the financial year due to start in 11days. scrollmeout: |
| Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by chuckdee13(m): 8:53pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
the only confusion is that u won't know if assessment started since n ur just being told or if it just started now ur being told. but either way u need to wait n pray. abeg when I'm ready to do my CDR I'm gonna be disturbing u a lot.so pls get ready ![]() scrollmeout: |
