apart from m.i and mode 9,the rest are wack..... how can someone call skales a rapper, it seems lyk rap now has a new meaning i'm not aware of |
| Re: Ten Most Influential Rappers In Nigeria 2015 - T.I.N by safarigirl(f): 5:52pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
kendrick9:so, by your myopic standards, Olamide and Phyno too are wack abi? All these people with their slave mentality. That you don't understand the language they speak doesn't make them wack. Not everyone must conform to your white masters' way of life by sounding like Jay-Z or whatever overrated foreign artiste you idolize. And whether they're wack or not doesn't reduce their influence. M.I can't move the kinda crowd Olamide can move and neither can Mode9...in fact, Mode9's fans are just a bunch of struggling wannabe rappers that can hardly afford a proper studio session talk less a Mode9 album or concert ticket. Now, @topic. Skales is not a rap artiste, at least he did not gain influence via rap, so kindly comot him from the list, even Cynthia Morgan would qualify as a rapper before Skales Why can't I find Jesse Jagz' name? Yet, someone is putting clowns like Lynxx(still love ya cutie, but you suck ). Whoever writes these articles obviously knows little or nothing about the music scene |

safarigirl:nice... u just quoted me to talk rubbish.. u made no single sense... myopic mentality u say? ... well excuse me for rating real lyricsism over some wack rubbish lines that makes no sense whatsoever... whether u hate him or not, mode 9 is still nigeria's greatest mc so f!uck off with that bullshit.... what influence does olamide have, this is a guy raps talks about being all about d streets but yet he cant even identify with his fans... And also as a sidenote, when i listen to rap,i will definitely love to check out the lyrics, thats what hip hop is all about..... |
| Re: Ten Most Influential Rappers In Nigeria 2015 - T.I.N by safarigirl(f): 9:59pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
kendrick9:niggur I've been listening to rap longer than you think, so don't tell me nonsense about lyrics. Like I said, unless you understand what Olamide or Phyno is saying, your statement that they're rapping crap is irrelevant. A French-speaking person could also say Mode9 is rapping crap, a Yoruba or Igbo person who doesn't understand English would also call Mose9 crap, after all, by your logic, any language one doesn't understand is crap. Olamide and Phyno featuring on a song would make it a hit, Mode9 featuring on a song won't mean shiiit. We're talking about influence here and any day any time, those 2 dudes have larger influences than your Mode9. We're talking dudes with large followership wey fit pull crowds, you dey yarn lyrics. If Mode9 was shiit influentially, he wouldn't be bytchin' from Beat to Rythm FM about people's lack of 'appreciation'. Focus on the topic, INFLUENCE not LYRICS. Twas even Jesse Jagz that won Lyricist On The Roll at the last Headies. Mode9 is fast losing relevance to people who matter, not the 1% like you |

safarigirl:the same mode who won lyricist of the roll for Lyk eight straight years.... its also my opinion that these guys are wack rappers...they are only good for commercial songs lyk story for the gods etc... how can u judge a rapper who doesn't communicate in english, what standards should u use to judge them to know how beastly they are..... english is hip hop universal language whether u hate to admit or not... |
