The call for Saraki to be disciplined & expelled has gained a little traction as d crisis within d APC seems not to want to abate. To all d political juggernauts, analysts & legal minds in d house. Can such a scenario avail?

*addendum* - This is in response to some comments so far. Theres a clause in d amended acts/ articles of running d senate that states that d presidency would b occupied by d majority, im stil scouting for it. This's exactly why I raised this knotty question....

PDP will immediately admit him and he will remain Senator and Senate President

Besides, he can only lose the Senate Presidency when he loses his senatorial seat

And then his real problem would start! That time buhari would be forced to take action! This is not the tambalwal/PDP thing where the north/ south west supported him against a "minority President." Buhari might have vowed to remain natural in the whole issue because they are all in apc, but trust me, if Saraki moves to PDP, that would be political war! Everything would be thrown at him! People are already angry here in the north because he gave pdp the duputy prrsident.Anyway saraki sef go rather beg then have that happen. The guy wise too na! It is now clear to buhari that no matter what he does, people will talk and later keep quite, watch and see what's coming! Shei Tandriods have been making noise, OK na!

. Saraki will not move alone. Remember he didn't move to the Apc alone in the 1st place. Saraki moving will even further reduce the grip of the Apc on the house. I don't see Saraki last losing out. It is in the best interest of everyone to just move on and let ABS make a mess of himself or prove himself to be a worthy leader.

Nothing can happen to saraki's presidency in the senate,as long as he does not lose his seat from his constituency and maintains his relationship with pdp he can never be removed. Apc can't have the two-third needed to up set him. If he is trying to make peace with buhari he is just been civil. Buhari had better wise up and forget party politics. For saraki and dagora has come to stay. It will hurt is government to keep bickering with these men.

Ask yourself how many APC senators he has in his fold and how many of those senators who are mostly northerns would commit political suicide by decamping to PDP. Is it Goje from gombe? Or Ndume from Borno or yerima from zamfara or Dino from kogi? PDP is dead in the north! Can't u see that? And u forget that most of these senators both in PDP and APC are corrupt as such would be ready to cut a deal with the efcc. One thing am very very sure of is that, Saraki would never have won if really the president was truly against him. You can take that to the bank!

Saraki will remain as senate president, he will eventualy decamp to pdp with his supporters and buhari will be impeached for incompetence and cluelessnes.

Him being civil or trying to save his neck? That's how most of you said gej can never lose the election! Mark you, not that I am against a saraki Presidency! But I have leant that in politics, never say never! Your best friend or even son would betray u in a heartbeat! Those senators you think are with him would betray him for their own self interest! All the need is jus the motivation! I still repeat, buhari was never really against saraki..... You can take the to the bank!

The APC can expel him but they can not remove him from the position of Senate President. To do that they need to impeach him and there is no way they can get the 2/3 majority.

The only option they have is to start a recall process in Kwara but that is also impossible given that Saraki is immensely popular among his constituents and Kwara APC chapter.

Tinubu should go and rest.

There is a probability for APC to become minority because Saraki's loyalist are more than 10 APC member plus PDP member which will probably make them majority therefore it would be impossible to impeach him
But i think APC should take very bold step to expel Saraki

Without PDP Saraki wouldn't be Senate President. Ekweremadu has come to stay. The way things are,Saraki is likely going to return to PDP if not now then in 2018-2019 during the next elections.

The funny thing is that there is nothing APC can do to remove him.Too bad for APC

Na where dem see the number to take impeach am ? There only have 51 senators in their minority camp.They will have to source for 22 more to do the magic Lol

one thing is sure, if Saraki wants to contest for president, I doubt whether he can realize that ambition on the platform of APC. I'M sure the party will never forget what he did, even 4 or 8 years from now.

But 8 years is a long time sha.

it will be bye bye to APC and. the core north takes over the APC while the senate will be in firm grip of the PDP and note in the house of rep if dogara seat is threatened by any action from the senate,the PDP now has a better,firmer grip.
in short,the tinubu should just let it be before the party goes into oblivion.

What Saraki has gained is irreversible in the short term. However, he has locked himself in a dead end position.

In the long term, he has lost credibility in APC and the party leadership are uncomfortable trusting their Vice Presidential or even Presidential ticket in his hands.

The PDP want him to come back. If he does return voluntarily, or if he is involuntarily kicked out by APC and rejoins PDP, the success will be short lived as well. PDP could decide to impeach him and elevate Ikweremadu as Senate President. If they accomodate him to live out his term, they are aware that APC is regaining the Senate and House in 2019 and both Saraki and Ikweremadu will loose their short term leadership and become floor Senators. Having witnessed his intrigues too many times, PDP is unlikely to field Saraki as a VP or Presidential candidate.....for fear he might compromise the party interest for his selfish and impulsive interest.

So either way its looked at, Saraki is finished at national level. He might still have relevance in Kwara politics after his lesdership in Senate.
