No wonder Madueke was very worried and was running between pole and pillar.
And that is why she and the cabal were hell bent on returning GEJ back to power in order for them to continue with this scam.Nigerians did the right thing by not returning GEJ to Aso Rock.

As in ehn. When I saw 40m litres/day "Afraid catch me".

I am sure if the refineries are fully functional....we just need about 20% importation.

I posted this yesterday:

On paper only. This guys won't give up on that lucrative 'subsidy money'.

1. If we consume 40m l, why is there subsidy fraud? I mean, that's how much it's on paper we bring in, that means there's been no over payments.

2. Have they removed the ones they smuggle to Niger, Benin Republic, Togo, Cameroun?

3. How do we trust the same organisation that does not know:

a. How much it makes.

b. How many accounts it has.

c. How much money is missing/unaccounted for.

How does the same organisation know how much fuel we put in our generators, cars and e.t.c. per day?

Wrong calculation.

At full functionality, we will be getting between 22-32m litres of PMS . . . depending on what the distillation process is optimized for.

BTW, we do not consume 40m litres/day. That's a big fat lie by NNPC!

Now imagine when electricity supply improves to at least 15 hours a day . Our local consumption of Petrol and diesel will be reduced by over 40%.

Extensive interviews with officials of NNPC and industry operators revealed that contrary to the perception that has been created for some time that the nation’s four refineries were operating at suboptimal capacity, thus necessitating the massive importation of petroleum products, certain elements within the system, with endorsement of the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, ensured that the refineries were starved of crude oil.

That's why Abacha, Obj, Yarauda imported fuel, because GEJ and Diezani wanted to pay subsidy on their behalf. This will end up like 99% of APC propaganda stories, Nigerians you people are in for 4 years of hell. July is less than 10 days away, we will be waiting for the petrol coming from the refineries. grin grin grin grin grin grin

The truth is that, we as a country are sometime not really sincere with our selves. This blatant stealing of our money (fuel importation/subsidy scheme) started before GEJ and madueke's administration. Thus placing all the blame on these two people is not the correct thing to do. Although they didn't do anything to stop the gross stealing in the oil sector they are also not the sole reason behind this theft. I hope our president will not toe their line but work tirelessly to reduce this stealing to its barest minimum.

@ Otherview thanks a lot for this thread, we tried in vain to explain to the TANoids that it seems nothing was wrong with the refinery at least as at last year, but no they refused and insist Jonathan was the one quietly repairing them, and that Buhari's election alone has nothing to do with the sudden cut in timeline by 50% and cost by 40%.

It is with their korokoro eyes they will see that Nigeria can still function, and we will all be the better for if that happens.

Spare me your facts, 99% of you Nigerians are too ignorant, that's why stories like this and many more to come will make headlines. Still NNPC will not be able to produce 5 million liters in July and you people will start another story line.

Liters of crude oil does not automatically equate with Liters of petroleum derivative.

Conversion rate for petrol (gasoline) averages 45 - 51% with cracking by FCCU, Diesel will be like 20 - 25%
Out of 71 million litres of crude daily that should give about 32 million litres of petrol alone.

Forget about stealing for the moment, you people should tell us the last time in Nigeria, NNPC produced 19 million liters of petrol in the last 30 years. NNPC is a failure just like Nigerian airways, NEPA and NITEL.

I was never an nnpc employee, but I did other businesses with ppmc which is a subsidiary of nnpc. I used to supply them things like gravel, sand, stationeries, natural flowers etc so I no a little about the org.and some of their top officials. Dieziani had to herself alone close to 300 diesel and petrol tankers, she owns Union Newspaper and a lot of other assets. Not only her,but a lot of other popular people I don't want to mention. Our refineries have been working, but GEJ was too timid to face challenge them.

NNPC itself is a scam...while other apex NOC's like petrobras, petronas, statoil, saudi aramco etc are gaining new grounds and managing their oil resource in the best way possible our NNPC is hell bent on running the nigerian oil and gas sector aground...sometimes I wonder what is wrong with us...must we steal?..must we seek for excess money?...must we be greedy to the point that we dont think of tomorrow?...

What is wrong with us?... angry

Of course while we can't absolve the likes of OBJ, it's disheartening to discover that GEJ and Diezani being technocrats and younger people, and also from the oil producing section of the country would do well to manage those resources better. Improve those societies they hail from in lieu of enriching themselves and a few cronies.

As at 2008/9 thereabout, we were paying N300b in subsidy, jumping to N2.3 trillion Naira in 2011/12 according to NOI!!!!!

Factor in all the broad day robbery itemized in this post . . . mehn!!!

Nigerians are tired of these stories in the oil and gas sector. The Nigeria oil and gas industry should be overhauled and the present government should think beyond oil with much attention to agriculture, minerals, gemstones and metals and of course manufacturing as well as services that can contribute significantly to our economy if harnessed optimally and the proceeds used judiciously.

FACT: Catalytic units in refineries are not working
FACT: NNPC refineries cannot refine one drop of pms TODAY!
FACT: If you give NNPC refineries 2million barrels of oil, they will not give you a DROP of PMS!

so what are you guys wailing about the former honorable minister using NNPC's "allocation of crude" to obtain more petroleum products for the country?

We all have read that NNPC engineers have been revamping the plants in-house after attempts to get original equipment manufacturers and the OEM preferred vendors failed! How can the stupid roadside reporters say Yakubu engaged people to "repair" the refineries secretly from the former honorable minister?

If the former honorable minister is the reason the refineries were/are not producing pms, the refineries would have been churing out pms since the 30th of May.

I have marked all the mischievious/stewwpid/silly people from their comments on this thread.

Even when OMT had no crude to transport from Escravos (the slave island) to Warri Refinery, the NNPC may be contractually obliged to pay them for their provisions of vessels throughout the contract period.

Btruth:
That woman call Allison should rot in jail for her wicked behaviour. How can someone be so cruel like this? Her behaviour has pass more than "the love of money". I think she was just been wicked, if a director in the NNPC can be secretly be performing an overhauling of the refineries without his minister been aware, that means that the minister was been evil. And I assumed she was/is not a good mother.

lipsrsealed
And that was why she engineered the sacking of Mr Andrew Yakubu who was very proffessional and always insisted on the proper things to be done. But Deziani was not comfortable with him and insisted to GEJ that he had to go.
