Kwankwasia amana kwankwasia amana, dancing like those almajiri boys in one my trip to abuja, but forreal if tinubu and the top party stalwarts didn't manipulate the primaries kwankwasia would have won and the northerners would have given him the support. He warned jonathan ahead that they were out to give him the malawi treatment when he will turn his back and no one will be there. And it actually happened.

Kwakwanso is a learner when it comes to treachery.

However Oby Ezekwesili, Shettima and that Chibok school principal defined the word.

How was Kwankwaso beaten? He was not in the run for senate presidency. In fact, he is more of closet supporter of Saraki bid against Lawan (seen as tinubu candidate, since tinubu mobilized against him in APC primaries). Note that a legislator from Kano -abdumumini Jibrin (a member of kwankwasiya group) was the one who nominated Dogara for speaker on the floor of the house. Dogara was also against party position as Saraki.

What Kwankwanso criticized Saraki over was his concession of the deputy position to opposing party. That is what he called betrayal taken too far not Saraki contesting against the party wish. We should not also compare the party position on constitutional posts to posts in mere social association like NGF.

Give it to him, when he saw that his position in pdp was no longer tenable, he publicly decamped. He could have stayed behind and sabotage pdp from inside although to his own detriment also.

PDP did not bring Kwankwaso to national prominence except to kids. He was Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives long before PDP was established.

We should not overrate the position of senate president in the race for 2019. Anyim as a sitting senate president was successfully denied pdp ticket to return to the senate in 2003 by the governor of Ebonyi -Sam Egwu. GEJ had to wade in before Ekweremadu as a sitting deputy president could get return ticket in pdp in the just concluded election. Senator Nnamani (as senate president) also read the handwriting on the wall in 2007 and gracefully declined to recontest.

In essence, Saraki will need more than being a senate president in 2019 race against the likes of Atiku, Kwankwaso and whoever buhari backs.

You may agree with this or not but I see Buhari and his vice as the only people who genuinely have a mission of rescue in the whole bunch of politicians we have in power at the moment.
bros you have raised a very crucial issue and debate ,but I will just summaries it up ,I have always said it that the problem with nigeria isn't the ppl, leaders or politicians But the societal system and political system we are using. Show me the most corrupt and inefficient governor in nigeria and I will tell u that if u put that same governor in an environment or system that doesn't initiate or encourage inefficiency or corruption that same governor will be the best governor. The question now is why is it so?

One thing i've learnt from Nigerian politics is never to rule anything out, in 2019 the 'Sophisticated' brothers might clamour for him as the one true saviour the country needs........they'll tell you how much of a great nationalist he is and how he only has 5 cows and has only 10k in his account and thus he is over qualified for the presidency.

pls stop deceiving yourself, of by now u still don't know who Bihari is then sorry

LordVarys:

Kwankwaso would never ever become President Of Nigeria, Buhari was able to overcome his sectional baggage due to people's desperation for change, Tinubu's backing and an appearance overhaul, For Kwankwaso even Tinubu considered him too much of a Northern hawk to support as president when he ran for president last year, his reputation as a bigot is well known.
kwankwaso can become Nigeria president if its will of God.people say more then dat to buhari and now today buhari is president of Nigeria.so guy tink abt d pass and justifly d present okk

This article is so rich and revealing. Kwankwaso's person is JUDAS personified and the Norths most dangerous bigot, glad this will at least clip his political career to kano state alone which officially makes him the chief local champion

Every Northern politician has the bigot believe of supremacy and born to rule in them.

It's just that most of them hides it

Excellent piece. Kwankwaso should realize that Nigeria is an ethnically diverse country. If he hopes to become president someday, he cannot afford to be seen as a tribalist.

It is only so because institutions which are supposed to check corruption are more corrupt than the culprits themselves. The whole land is filthy. Our value system is corruption friendly, weak and corrupt institutions very strong individuals. Sundry reasons my brother.

What a ridiculous, vindictive, myopic and naive writer...

The writer clearly avoided discussing performance because Kwankwaso and Fashola were by far the BEST performing governors of the last republic...

Kwankwaso was 'shocked' at Saraki's emergence the same way PMB was 'too late' to meet Tinubu & Co. after asking them to wait for him..

Naivety of the highest order cheesy

I have always told ppl that there is no way a politician from either pdp or apc will spend 3billion just to win a governorship seat and not find means and ways of getting 6billion back in 4years . This was what ken nnamani said in 2007,faale too repeated the same thing in 1999. The system needs a total change ,buhari may have good intentions but he is just one man . Idiagbon was able to get things done right because the system was different ,then it was a military one .

Kwankwaso a master? For where.....?

1, Kwankwaso makes waves because his state is rich through the huge monthly federal allocation it gets through the undue 44 Local govt councils which Abacha sprinkled in every small village in Kano state.

2, Kwankwaso barks a lot because through the 7 states Abacha sprinkled in his northwest zone, Kwankwaso's northwest zone gains most from Nigeria's shared revenues, the zone is unduly over represented in the NASS and in all other political gatherings of Nigerians, thus can easily liase with others to spurn legislation that may favour other parts of Nigeria.

All along till today, kwankwaso's roaring have bordered mainly on his dreading any arrangement, or any politician that shall resurrect the restructuring of Nigeria's polity through a democratic means.

For Kwankwaso, the 36 states + Abuja political structure which northern soldiers created - let no civilians ever restructure in a democracy.

Kwankwaso is a betrayal and wicked man. l know how we suffered and risked our lives to vote for in 2011 despite threat from the defunct ANPP and CPC, he rewarded us(Christians) in his state with total neglect and abandonment. He used his evil tricks and hypocrisy to woo and deceive us but later proved his atrocious life.

Dear! I live in Kano, and I know and I must let the whole Nigeria and indeed the world know what tribalist Kwankwaso is.

This tribalist neglected a section in his state (Sabon Gari) because the section was dominated by the southerners.Businesses owned and runned by the southerners are being attacked and persecuted even after these same people struggled, campaigned and voted to get him into power in 2011.Yet they were made the object of ridicule throughout his reign.Any frequent visitor to Sabon Gari will tell how bad every road in it is.Just last week,a friend and neighbor lost her pregnancy because the road are very very bad.(the Keke napep man carrying the woman mistakenly jumped into a pothole in the street thereby making the woman have a miscarriage). Infact every road in the whole of Sabon Gari can be considered a death trap all because of Kwankwaso's wickedness and negligence.

Come 2019 I must be in the forefront campaigning against him should he ever dream of running for the presidency.I'm patiently waiting for 2019 to come.

Factual analysis. Everything written here is the gospel truth. He is just sad he met someone with more ambitions in saraki. He should just shut up and accept saraki as his senate president and stop moaning

Majority of northern politicians/elites are evil personified. They'll murder their neighbours if possible to grab/maintain their reign on power as long as it suits their desires like they've been doing with the almajiris and bogus census figures.

Kwankwaso is only following in the footstep of their late leader Ahmadu Bello.

Kwankwaso is one of those opportunistic politicians who thrive on our fault lines - ethnic and religious - to advance and sustain their political careers. He sadly sees himself more as a northerner out to defend the interests of the North, than a Nigerian out to advance the interests of Nigeria. His likes are masters of deceit and illusion who thrive on the ignorance of the poor whose name they severally use in vain in pursuit of their personal goals.  He is certainly one of those who have held this country down through their politics of dirty intrigues, ethnicity, double-speak and betrayal. The nation needs a break from them. We need a leader who will inspire and unite all Nigerians in hope and faith. Not these ethnic irredentists and heretics of faith masquerading as patriots
