Should Husbands Pay For Items Bought In Their Wives' Shops? by Sundayme(op): 2:27pm On Jun 23, 2015

In an interesting page on facebook, this question was asked. Guess what? Many of those who had repond were females, and they are of the opinion that their husbands should pay for what they buy in their shops.

Personally, am thinking it's not a must, since i'll be giving her money most of the time. What do you think?

That is what you call business, so that when inlaws come around they must also pay.

Its business. U need to be able to balance your records. It dosn't matter who owns the shop.

Of course he has to pay for accounting sake, the owner of the shop gat to know whether she's making profit or not.. He isn't paying because he's a stranger, just to have a proper balancing of accounts. ... At the end of the day, the money is still theirs...

Even owners sometimes pay for whatever they take... If husband or children take whatever they want whenever without paying, it will be hard knowing how profitable or not a shop is...

There is no family in business,if you want that business to survive,husband and family members must pay for every stuff taken.
He will be the first to ask how you manage that business if anything happens.

Unless if its his plan to run down the business then he may decide not to pay, infact giving credit must be discouraged

There is no correct ans.

If he pays, he pays into the family business right?

If he didnt pay, he "saves" the family's money right?

The best solution is to record whatever he picks from the shop and he signs against it as he picks.
You can still balance the book at the end.

This can only apply if the family is united,
Otherwise
They gonna be problems

Once you collect without paying and think you'll 'balance back' later that buisness is headed for disaster.
