Policemen don't wear army camouflage, they wear their own. Thy have camouflage too. It is as a result of the ill-thought announcement that only military men should wear camouflage which is not right because armed forces like police and DSS have their own camouflage too

It's police that have reduced themselves to that. Go toUK and U.S., police is entirely in charge of internal security. They investigate crimes committed by anybody in their country, even military. And their respects for each other are mutual.
