limamintruth:Bukatyne said something similar to this. My question is why exempt cooking? Why must cooking alone be restricted to females? |

Kimoni:I did not say cooking should fall on the women only. However, each home is different and the couple should find out What works for them. My hubby for instance 100% prefers I cook the soup and store in the freezer and the first person to get home makes dinner. |

freecocoa:Lol SirShymexx:That can't be you because I know how you type. By the way, if it's a man behind that moniker, I'll be dissapointed because the user seems jobless with peoples personal info. I have seen you fight with your real moniker - all those NL monikers acting holy should be dreaded. ![]() |

oloyede252:Why do I feel we are not on the same page? I believe in husbands and wives doing all chores depending on their personalities and availability. The chores equality will not work because I might be out of town today and him unavailable tomorrow. Chores can also not be measured. |
| Re: Gender And Chores- Issues In Relationships And Marriages by limamintruth: 11:40pm On Jun 25, 2015 |
Kimoni:The restriction arises only where both spouses are home at their free-time. The primary reason is because in most cases, women are better cooks than men. ![]() |

SirShymexx:So, a male that supports equality of men & women is gay? Pray tell, how many self-acclaimed male gays are feminist. Lets start there.... |
| Re: Gender And Chores- Issues In Relationships And Marriages by Kimoni: 11:44pm On Jun 25, 2015 |
bukatyne:I know you said bulk cooking while he said and meant all cooking(I believe), just wondering why any chore should still be restricted to a particular gender if we are to accept chore equality. However, each home is different and the couple should find out What works for them.Exactly! Is this rocket science? **modified Bukatyne, I just read ur post on chore equality. I get your stand now |
| Re: Gender And Chores- Issues In Relationships And Marriages by SirShymexx: 11:50pm On Jun 25, 2015 |
FrancisTony:The word feminist itself is self-explanatory. It means feminine(ist) and when you break "feminine" further down: you'll come up with, having qualities or an appearance traditionally associated with women. Homos are more or less feminine and aligning with the ideology is natural for them if they decide to. So for a guy to say he's a feminist, he's definitely feminine (homo) and he's in his comfort zone You lot keep letting Chimanmanda who apparently has been suffering from acute depression for a long time (according to the Guardian UK, before she told them to pull the story down) to keep emasculating you with nonsense. ![]() |

Kimoni:It seems you didnt understand my post. I never absolved the man from cooking as you put it. The man is expected to do the chores whenever he is the one home & the wife is busy, sick or not home. And i also said that wherein both spouses are home together, they should endeavour to do the chores together. It should not necessarily be 50-50 though (so that it wont seem like a competition/challenge; thus no need for any measuring tape ) Note that the restriction on cooking which i made mention of in my other post arises ONLY in instances whe both spouses are home & free. However, i admit that this is not a one cap fits all thingy cos what may work for Couple A might not be same as what works for Couple B. |

SirShymexx:1.) Reason why I told Ki..moni that i'm rather a humanitarian or supporter of egalitarianism not a feminist. 2) A gay can be masculine or effeminate. A straight can also be masculine or effeminate. I don't see why a gay should be feminist to fight for his sexuality. Gayism isn't a gender thing and a gay male is still enjoying the same privilege a straight male has in this sexist world that doesn't favour women. 3.) Lol? Chimamanda emasculating me/us? Being a supporter of egalitarianism doesn't mean a woman will domineer me. I believe that respect has to be reciprocated. She was depressed? Why? |
