I just hope the P. Cech we are getting is not one with a sense of entitlement to the number one position between the sticks, I personally don't think Ospina was bad last season, he controlled his area and made some terrific saves and he has been decent at the Copa America, agreed Cech is quite of a great deal to pass on considering his stats and experience in the premier league, I just hope he comes with a mature and professional mentality to give his best and is passionate about the crest and its fans..

With the anticipated arrival of P. Cech it would be four (4)

No offense, I don't think the goal keeping department is the area most in need of attention. Thierry Henry, Arsenal legend made a statement some few weeks back. He said it categorically that we can't win the league with just Giroud leading our attack and he was spot on for saying so. Wenger should seriously consider that in his plans.

I want to believe that Petr Cech will be one of two or three arrivals this summer at Arsenal. GK may not have been a priority but it was definitely an area we needed to strengthen. WS1 needs someone he can learn from. He learnt a lot when Lehmann was here (how many people remember that there was a time Szczesny couldn't kick the ball beyond the half way line?). Cech here for 3 to 4 seasons will do a lot of good for Szczesny especially as he MAY also come with his GK trainer.

I am beginning to have that old feeling that AW is not willing to sign a proven DM and would prefer Coquelin as first choice with any of Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey, Flamini or even untested Bielik and biscuit bone Diaby as cover.

The Arsene I know will not pay £15mil for a back up when we have those aforementioned seeking for playing time. Someone said
'' Wilshere should be cover for Coquelin, if not how will he get into the team when either 'Santi' or 'Cazorla' is playing.''

So fans, rule off any idea of £25mil Schneiderlin not to talk of £35mil Calvalho coming this summer. Those gimmicks only remind him of what Le Coq is worth.

It's not like I'm saying Cech's signing was completely needless, my worry is that the 10 mil+ used for signing Cech depletes our limited transfer kitty. I don't want a striker who's 10 mil+ less than the quality we ought to have

Honestly, two/three years ago I would have been worried too. But I'm willing to give Arsene benefit of doubt. He's shown in recent times that he's willing to pay the right price for the right player.
