ahamonyeka:Its the authority of the house. Without it, the house cannot sit, so no decision can be taken! Another thing many people don't know about the maze is that, if it is taken away while the Senate President or speaker is sitted,he or she cannot get up until it is returned. ahamonyeka: The Mace, carried by the Serjeant-at-Arms, has become an important symbol of the authority of the Speaker and of the House itself. The House is not properly constituted unless the Mace is present on the brackets in the Chamber. |

If the mace is not placed at her required position in the house , the proceeding of the house shall be discontinued, the speaker off the house won't be able to make any decision regarding whatsoever in the house.
