if ure online right now, send me a pm, i can help. Do u have TeamViewer?

Zip your website files and upload them using the default upload platform in your cPanel.

Then extract the zipped file into your root folder when the upload is complete.

Btw, what's the error that the FTPs are showing?

@hostkobo
it doesnt install any component at all, not even a plogin or module. it displayes same error for any extension i try to install.

the extesion are compartible with joomla 3 because i have been usine then before the problem started.

i am using wamp on windows 8 OS.

any help
Re: Joomla FREE Training On Nairaland Live!!! by ZinoFego: 6:48pm On Jun 10, 2015
Cool.

Since you are offline, download a fresh copy of the default Joomla files and use them to overwrite your present website files. Only the core Joomla files will be replaced.

Don't worry, you won't loose anything. That should fix the error.

i know this is not a wordpress thread but i know but am sure experienced people are here, please how can i move a large locally hosted wordpress of 104MB size to live server without using any ftp client
Re: Joomla FREE Training On Nairaland Live!!! by ZinoFego: 11:07pm On Jun 10, 2015
You can use Upload Option in the File Manager in your cPanel. You need to zip the files into a single file before uploading.

If the files are large, you have to zip them in batches and then upload.

When you're done uploading them, you can then extract them.

I posted a more detailed explanation in another thread but here it is.

Uploading your website.

Option: A. Through your control panel.

i. Zip all the files of the website that you have already created in your computer that you want to upload online.
ii. Log in to your website control panel that you have hosted (Your website host will provide you a link to your website control panel and login details (Username & Password)
iii. Locate "File Manager" folder among the files in your control panel and click on it to open it
iv. Locate "public_html" or "www" folder inside the "File Manager" folder and click it to open it
v. Locate and click UPLOAD. You'll usually find the UPLOAD link/button at the top of the page.
vi. Click BROWSE to locate the Zipped File in your website and select it. The Zipped file will be uploaded into the "public_html" or "www" folder. You can actually upload your Zipped File into any other folder of your choice in your control panel but because you are a newbie, let's stick to the "public_html" or "www" folder.
vii. After the upload is completed, locate the Zipped file inside your "public_html" or "www" folder and click on it once. Look at the top of the page, you will see Extract, click on it, you will be prompted to consent that the Zipped File should be extracted and then all the files will be extracted into your "public_html" or "www" folder or any other folder you may choose.

Your website should run if you type your domain name into any browser.

Please Note: You will be required to import your database(s).

How much is an average or maximum domain name cost?
Re: Joomla FREE Training On Nairaland Live!!! by ZinoFego: 2:08am On Jun 13, 2015
It depends on the domain name, you can get a .com as from N2000.00 or less

Since the website is in WordPress, we may not be able to give you a sound advice based on the issues you raised.

So I think you should open a thread on the Webmaster Forum stating the issues and I am sure, WordPress experts will come to your aid.

Alternatively, you can convert your WordPress website to a Joomla website, then we'll be able to be of more help. The following tools can help you migrate.

1. http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension/migration-a-conversion/data-import-a-export/cms2cms-automated-wordpress-to-j-migration
2. http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension/migration-a-conversion/data-import-a-export/wordpress-to-joomblog-converter

Thank you.

I know. I'm wondering if this can be done/transfer by myself with my CP?
Could you please refer me to the procedures or step by step guide on how to go about the changing domain within my CP?

Thanks
