The Imo State government has opened discussions with the Chinese government, focusing on partnership in areas of industrialisation. Discussions were held on Friday, June 18, between Governor Rochas Okorocha and the Consul-General of China to Nigeria, Mr Liu Khan, at the Government House in Owerri, Imo State’s capital.

Governor Okorocha said the visit was to initiate a robust relationship with the Peoples Republic of China that would bring massive industrialisation to Imo State and employment for the youths. He said the partnership, if consummated, would be a fulfilment to his dream of establishing factories and industries in the state.
