Adetola Street in Aguda, Surulere, was being reconstructed by Plycon but later abandoned. Today Adetola street is near impassable. Residents wish the govt never awarded the road in the first place because if not for the reconstruction and abandonment, the road would not have become near impassable and Adetola happens to be the longest road in Aguda. Lagos State Governor should monitor seriously officials whose job it is to supervise road contractors. These officials collect kickbacks and allow contractors to do whatever they like in the name of construction. We at Adetola reported Plycon severally to one Engineer Johnson who was incharge of road contracts under Gov Fashola but instead of investigating and bringing Plycon to order was rather making excuses for Plycon thereby allowing them to get away with a lot of unprofessional conducts. Today Adetola has remained abandoned for over one year. Even the alternative routes where Plycon was supposed to do a remedial work on for residents to use while the construction was going on was never touched. The alternative roads include Bolaji Banwo Street, Savanna, Odogbolu etc. Some parts of the drains Plycon constructed were left uncovered and today, tyres and all manner of refused have blocked the drains. It beats me why govt officials spend tax payers money recklessly. If the roads were to be the personal houses of these officials and builders do any kind of shoddy job, would they pay the builder. I suggest the governor should open a channel where residents of any street or road being constructed can give feed back on what is going on the road from start to finish to the governor. The channel must be independent of any govt official incharge of the contract because these officials are pathetically corrupt. No wonder roads collapse short after construction. I want to conclude by saying that Plycon is unprofessional and incompetent and should be blacklisted. |

Chai! !! I pity those living around Abule Oshun Dansa Road to Tedi Muwo Road in that Ojo area of lagos. That place is a no go area. A picture of that area will make a pregnant woman have a miscarriage. 16 yrs of APC in govt, yet the change the preached did not reach to that place. A place u have companies like Dansa juice comapny located, LG electronics biggest warehouse in Africa located and other big industries and warehouses are sited yet, Lagos govt that was over rated with Lagos media did not find it necessary to make that road a better route to follow by motorist. Residents of that area are in trouble. Lagos na waya! |

These is to fix the main roads causing traffic and that need minor repair which can be carried out by the agency itself. The inner roads will be fixed by the local governments . This list covers most of the 20 local governments and only Ikorudu I can see missing and they just did some repairs there |
