Buhari Inaugurates National Economic Council Today by msmon(op): 8:10am On Jun 29, 2015

President Muhammadu Buhari will today
inaugurate his administration’s National
Economic Council (NEC).

The council, which will be inaugurated in
the council chambers of the presidential
villa, Abuja, is expected to draw up a
roadmap that will actualise the economic
policies of the new administration.

As is the tradition, the council which is
to be chaired by Vice President Yemi
Osinbajo, and comprising of all the 36
state governors will also hold its first
session.

The permanent secretaries of the
ministries of finance, national planning,
and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
governor will also be members of the
council. Section 18 of the 1999
Constitution provides for the NEC to
serve as an advisory body to the
president on the economy.

I know most people won't understand the importance of these things because they are used to construction of roads, building of bridges and commissioning of schools as the ordinance of government.
Buhari is making the modalities very simple for those things... I am not an advocate of his administration but Just a concerned and logical social follower. I like the modus operandi of his administration.

Relying on the popular adage that "what an elder sees sitting down a child who climbs a NITEL mast will not see" ......lets all give Buhari the needed time to fix Nigeria.

Elders don't rush to take decisions but when they do we often see their wealth of wisdom.
