if I recall, she isn't a transgender as such. Don't get me wrong cos I don't support this changing of a sex thing when it is already determined at birth.

In her case, I think she was an am amaphrodite meaning she had both sex organs. What they did for the either him or her: as you would like her to be described is, they let the dominant organ determine which sex she should go with. No that she was female, then became male or vice versa. I don't know if transgender is the right word to use but i didn't think being a male and female at the same time is really being comfortable.
