The snake could still be somewhere in the house. please search thoroughly to prevent stories that touch.

My dear, there's nothing mysterious about it. snake is living in your closet, search thoroughly and kill the snake before the snake kills you

How?

Get tobacco leaves, fresh, strong smelling one, plenty of it and put it in every corner of your house.

Heard it drives snakes crazy

Ask hunters

place bitter kola around the area.

If you are not the only one living in that house, then you might have a human that transforms...I'm not joking please try to think back.
