Na waoo naija, things dey happen o!
I can't believe my eyes at this First
Bank. I woke up this very morning at
about 03.15 am, the only thing I can
vividly recall that I did was that I put on
my clothes which I kept before going to
bed. I can't recall brushing up or taking
my bath, even to wash face, I no do
am.
All my plans be say I wan be the first.
No vehicle to take, as though I'm
training for a marathon race, I raced
down to the bank.
At exactly 03.30, I was there. Men on
black and white, women on wrapper
both up and down, even ladies on
night gown were in countless of
numbers.
At first, I slowed down thinking they
were ghost workers having their
meeting, as I stood some distance afar,
some matured voices came up: "oboi
come write your name for book o"
My eyes open! I rushed down to the
gate, my name fall on number 85.
Hmmmm, this #BVN no be here o!
cheesy, that experience of yours was quite hilarious!

May God deliver Us from this last minute attitude. I can't stop to imagine what the October BVN drama will look like.
Re: When CBN Extends BVN Registration Date (photo) by Nobody: 8:25pm On Jun 30, 2015
While we are on this subject matta (bvn), peeps pls let's reason together. Bvn or the exercise should not come with an expiry date. If anyone needs to carry out any banking transaction be it online, offline or face to face with a cashier, the bvn should only come in as a requirement towards completing that transaction! In which case if a bank customer doesn't have this requirement, all he need do is complete the registration before carrying out the transaction, yeah?
When Sanusi introduced the cashless policy, this saved lives. How? Well it sounds trite but truth be told. Thieves left people homes alone and concentrated on banks thus reducing security risks against burglaries and other severe armed robberies cus the men of the dark know the economy is cashless!
Now with this hardship and subjugation accorded the citizenry by the now banking sector, people will have no choice than to start stashing monies at home and what do we have? Your guess is as good as mine, like electricity finding paths of least resistance!
It is unfortunate that our leaders and policy makers never get it right. They need to know that there are exercises and requirements that are not supposed to come with and expiry tag like the national Id card, the bvn, and their likes, even the driver's licence! Is it possible that you are going to wake up one morning and realise that you've forgotten how to drive? Doesn't happen in sane countries. If only they could stop stealing n let the poor be n not impose useless policies in a bid to further steal from the poor.

Nigerians r self..... Though i dont understand all this bullshyte cos i left Nigeria December and i was not aware of any verification before i left.
BUT SORRY TO SAY THAT THIS IS THE ONLY COUNTRY BANKS THINK THEY DO YOU FAVOR FOR HOLDING YOUR MONEY. IN OTHER COUNTRIES, BANKS WORSHIP CUSTOMERS AND COULD DO ANYTHING TO KEEP YOU AS THEIR CUSTOMER.

EVEN BANKERS SHAKARA TOO MUCH. WHAT MALE BANKERS DO WITH FEMALE CUSTOMERS IS UNSPEAKABLE. ALMOST EVERY SINGLE GIRL/LADY IN NIGERIA HAS BEEN TESTED BY BANKER'S ANACONDA.

CBN OUGHT TO HAVE CREATED AN ONLINE PLATFORM FOR THIS REGISTRATION. THEN THOSE WHO REGISTERED ONLINE WILL SUBSEQUENTLY GO FOR BIOMETRIC DATA COLLECTION.

THIS WOULD SAVE MANY THE STRESS OF STANDING IN NEVER ENDING TRAIN LIKE QUEUES.
Even if CBN had created heavenly platform, Nigerians will still register at the dying minute.

Do things on time!

Nigerians need to do things on time.

This BVM thing has been on for a year now. I have been aware of it for the last four months. Banks have been putting out notices/reminders on their ATM machines for at least the last 3 months....and still...many Nigerians left it late.

I registered in May at my bank. At 12 noon to be precise. It was just me and one other person filling the forms.

I hate to sound self righteous....but Nigerians really need to get rid of this leaving things to the last minute habit. Really!
May?? You do late naa... And you d complain of other nigerians.

I did the registration around April/May too. I was the only one at the bank for BVN that day. I didn't even take it serious, I just did for doing sake. I never knew it'll turn to this.
