We decried a man, who held up the dollar steady for the last part of 5 years with the only time naira losing ground to the dollar being from last year 4th quarter, 2014 due to crashing oil markets. Now in less than 1 month of PMB the naira has lost 16 per cent of its value with a free fall envisaged. Money forecast indicates the Naira is likely to shed 50 per cent of its value trading at no less than 290-300 to a Dollar before the end of the third quarter of 2015. Hmmmmmmm. Please define cluelessness again? |

APC and PMB are learners! We wanted change and here we have change. Waiting patiently for N1/$1. Nigeria is a country that solely depends on oil export and produce nothing. We import virtually everything even to matches and tooth picks. Country running for over a month without ministers. I just pity this country and PMB's administration. |

Chei, instead of figuring the best and quickest ways to boost economy, SnAIl Buhari is busy whining, pointing fingers and setting up Probe comittees, and appointing his brothers First things first, appoint the ministers na, atleast that move might boost the NSE, everywhere is just dry and crumbling, haba! And Nigerians are gullible fools, hopeless dreamers, I wonder how low we have to hit before Nigerians finally realise the sh'it we are in for? At this rate, the naira will devalue to N300 to a dollar by this years end and Nigerians will still be saying Buhari will perform. Rubbish! |

Is there no official channel for an SME to source forex at official 199 rate, other than the Black market? At 230 for a dollar, cost of import will be high; and this extra cost can't be transferred to consumer. They are squeezed enough already. |

One of the things the CBN should do to help this situation is start encouraging more dollar inflows anyhow they can. Example; by allowing Nigerians receive paypal payments. So far, Nigerians wire millions of dollars per day overseas in purchases, but we're not allowed to receive. The CBN should get paypal and the rest of those payment platforms to allow Nigerians receive money as well. This will certainly help, no matter how little. CBN stop being dumb!. Get dollar from all sources possible!. You have not exhausted all avenues to get dollar!. |

AbuMaryam1:Where do you people get this insane idea? Why don't we just devalue the Naira to N1000 to $1 to "encourage local manufacturers on quality production, efficiency etc. Then we would start competing with the developed world." Then when MTN asks you to pay N200/min for calls, or PMS sells for N600/litre and we will all "live happily ever after"? |
