Reasons I Didnt Buy The Change Mantra. by Eden007(op): 11:58am On Jul 04, 2015
Nigerians were deceived of change. I didn't buy into that because of the following reasons.

1. Apc promised to fight corruption when the party itself is led by corrupt individuals. There's no way Buhari would make sense in his fight against corruption if Tinubu, Atiku, Amaechi and a host of others are not arrested. It made no sense to me for him to arrest those that brought him to power.

2. Another reason I didn't buy the change mantra is that all politicians in Nigeria are the same. What happened during the last elections was a clash of interest. 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'.

3. Furthermore, I believe an average Nigerian is corrupt! I am a Nigerian and due to the society I was born into, I am corrupt. Our prices may just differ, but we are all corrupt. The major reason is that Nigerians are naturally not patriotic.

In conclusion, I think just like south Africa struggled with apartheid, Nigeria currently has a worse situation in tribalism. I am guilty of this, so is every average Nigerian born in Nigeria. There's no need for pretence, the earlier we admit this, the easier it'll be for us to fight it.
