NaijaOptimist: maryam6:Hmm I believe it is permissible only if it is aimed at marriage, since islam forbids "DATING". But anything aside from that, maybe to have him as her boyfriend then I believe it's haram, same goes to males. Also, during the time of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) a woman confessed her love for him and also wanted him to marry her Since he did not disapprove of her doing that, then I Believe it is okay.....
