You see your life? You don't even believe Jesus nor the bible you take as your sole authority.

Jesus said. "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.Matt.16:18

Again Jesus said to the church " ...Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matt 28:20

Again the Bible said "But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 1Tim.3:15

And you say the church will teach error? And you will not. I disagree, let me go with scripture please.

hahahahhahhahahahhahahah.....because the priest are not human...hahahha...shey your rev father is an angel...hahahahhaahahaha...didn't you read how Paul rebuked peter....hahahah.....bros ya salvation dey ya hand oh.if you like seek to know God and his ways,if you don't like leave am oh..I think I av said enough...the church is the pillar of truth doesn't mean you shouldn't pray for God to speak to you himself.OK you feel God can only speak to priest,if so Jesus would not have come oh,and he wouldn't have thought his disciples to pray

Hahahaha, so you want to say the bible is lying abi. If they were not same thing that Jesus said, which of them was verse 44 referring to when it said "And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words."? Good for you, stop arguing against the bible.

How dare you call her that?

I would have been moved to admonish you, but obviously you are far from christianity, very far.
And even İslam too. Muslims wouldn't even dare to call her that.

That's exactly my point , the terms "nowhere or nothing" is just a matter of semantics.
Most of us instead of admitting that we don't know "how" things came about we tend to
interprete "how" to mean "what brings about things".

You might believe that we were created , but I am sure you don't know " how" .
So if someone tries to explain the "how" based on some assumption I see no
reason why you should vehemently reject it.

And the idea of "something" coming from "nothing" still exist on a smaller scale in the universe
as seen in the birth of stars from void.

You are "pro atheism", i get.

I believe in God, and if there is anything i need to know about how everything came about, i will look to the bible for explanation. And since i believe in its authenticity, anything contradictory or even close but not accurate would fall flat as hogwash.

Thanks.

Biblical proof that she has fore-knowledge of our problems or that she hears our prayers bro.

You are alive, you can hear and see but Mary is dead. That's the difference.
You just lack a basic knowledge of the scriptures. To say Mary is dead is to make Jesus a liar and to go against the eternal truths of God laid down in many passages of the scriptures. Go to Matt22vs32 what does it say? It says and i quote:" He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For He is the God of Living not of the dead." At the time Jesus made this quote was Abraham, Isaac and Jacob living in this mortal life at that time? Were view not dead as at that time. Yet Our Lord said they are not dead. So if Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are said to be Living even when view were already dead eons ago, how much more Mary the mother of Jesus the savior of Abraham and co. Go also to Rom28vs38to39 and hear from St Paul who said that not even death can separate from the Love of God in Christ Jesus. So take time and know what you argue.

That's the beauty of it all, unlike you the we don't follow one man's teaching. Paul rebuked Peter while they were discussing, because of his weakness in standing for the gentiles, and not for teaching error. In the end, it was peter that stood up and narrated what God did with Him in the life of Cornelius the gentile. Acts 15. The Church holds her councils and make decision just like the one I quoted where the church removed circumcision as a requirement. In another of those councils in 325ADthe church coined the word Trinity. In a later synod in 393AD, the Church Canonized the Bible. And it continued that way till today, because the church believes that Jesus words are true when he said "When two or three are gathered in my name , there am I among them". Matt 18:20. Also the Church believed Jesus when He said that and "whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven". Matt.16:19. And He said He will be with the church till the end of time. But it seems you don't believe.

In the same way, going to the jesus direct is good, just going thru his mother is an option too. Whether we belive or not, Mary is blessed, she gave birth to jesus thru the conception of the holy spirit.. So if u dun believe in Mary, dats ur problem but leave us to continue enjoying frm believing in her.

We can see in the scripture above that Christ didnt give support to the slightest worship of his mother yet people wont hear.

Why bring up such A thread to criticize people's belief.
Well for your information, no body is worshiping Mary. We only honour her as the mother of our Lord, the woman through which God sent his son. They is a big difference between worship and honor.

The reason I used that bible quote was to bring to your attention, the fact that my comment was talking physical death.

Mary being alive in the spirit is no guarantee that he can hear us or help us.

And I personally don't need her help if at all he she hears.

Do you know why?

It is because Hebrews 4:16 encourages me to approach the throne of grace confidently. "Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need".

There is also no scriptural evidence that Mary intercedes for mankind.

1 Timothy 2:5 says For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

And The Man Jesus Christ said "You can ask for any thing in my name, and I will do it

So we really don't need Mary's services, ie if at all she has any to offer.

But you do need a prayer from your pastor or lemme say priest right?

You must be a hypocrite... leave Catholic if your mind is too shallow to digest our divine doctrine and dogma...

Simple,

I am telling you that I am honoring her, but you that know better than I do is telling me that I am worshipping her, you must be a god that reads mind...Biblically, teeny m you aren't told to dishonor Mary the mother of Christ, why on earth will ya ask for a verse that support her honoring, does that imply that you as a Christian is doing everything only permitted to do by the Bible?

We fly to thy patronage, O holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
I do not subscribe to the idea of that prayer even though I am a Catholic. I think all requests for divine protection should be directed to the Living GOD alone.

jnrbayano:
If I have the fore-knowledge of a plot to assassinate someone on Monday en route to work (I eavesdropped on the plotters) and advised that target should either stay put at home or take another route, if he heed and thus remain alive: I delivered him from that danger.

In that case, you provide the person with some information that saves their life. That is purely a physical act. Now see, assuming the name of the person who provided the life-saving information was James, would you now start saying in your prayers, "Oh James, despise not my petitions in my necessities, but deliver me always from all dangers?" How about millions of people praying to James for protection or deliverance from all dangers? If one billion Catholics ask Mary for protection, how could she respond to each and every of the requests?

The "We Fly To Your Patronage" prayer seeks both physical and spiritual protection from Mary. We might seek physical protection from a human as in the case of police bodyguards or the use of a vigilante group, but request for spiritual protection should be directed to Almighty GOD alone. If you ask Mary, instead of GOD, for deliverance, that should amount to idolatry, to the best of my knowledge.

I think you are trying too hard to justify what I think even you know is unBiblical just for the sake of "winning an argument." Certain words in the "We Fly To Your Patronage" prayer should arouse our curiosity. Such words clearly negate the Word of GOD at Psalm 7: 1, 1 Thessalonians 1: 10, 2 Timothy 4: 18, Luke 1:47, among others.

O Lord, my God, I come to you for protection; rescue me and save me from all who pursue me; Psalm 7: 1 (GNT).

And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come; 1 Thessalonians 1: 10 (NKJV)

And the Lord will rescue me from all evil and take me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever! Amen; 2 Timothy 4: 18 (GNT)

If you ignore these Biblical truths and say Mary is your deliverer, I don't have much to say again!

Finally, in Luke 1:47, Mary sang that GOD is her saviour. Doesn't that show Mary herself was looking up to GOD for deliverance? Shouldn't we imitate Mary by calling on GOD alone for deliverance and/or protection from all dangers?

Ichiato:
Any biblical proof mary is dead?
I don't think the Bible records her death just like many others. There are many characters in the Bible whose end the Bible says nothing about. Perhaps, that's not the interest of the Word of GOD.

Syncan:
A woman inspired by Jesus teachings said of Mary "Blessed is the womb that bare thee" Lk 11:27... Yet the OP says the woman worshiped Mary and Jesus rebuked her.
Mary, indeed, is blessed and gracious, but we shouldn't pray to her for deliverance.

Syncan:
Please try to believe Jesus, Mary is living just as these Patriarchs.
You should understand the difference between physical death and spiritual (eternal) death.

you got me laughing with your post, go read the gospel of luke 1, verse 46 - 55. So even if you or others refuse to call her blessed....generations after generations would call her blessed. And I know what your next post would be is that now u have seen the light in your new found church and its teachings. The problem has never been the Catholic teaching but with church goers and not worshippers. Btw, were u a member of any society in the the Catholic Church which enhanced your faith and prayer life?

Mary acknowledged she was blessed not because of anything in her or anything she had done but because God out of His own will alone chose her to be a vessel through which the saviour would come. You are blessed, favoured, and 'engraced' when God chooses you for no reason outside of Himself.

When Mary said, all generations will call her blessed, she did not mean in a special way but the way everyone would say, "Mr A is blessed. Look what God did for him." Simple. Not HAIL MARY...Jzzzzzz Hail God, not His vessel.

Sorry, but there is no society in the catholic church, not even the charismatic that can enhance faith.

No! You gave him information as an 'informer.' If this is deliverance then some gossip girls are doing a nice job. Humans and some fortune tellers can do this deliverance thing.
