Are you living in ekiti?. The situation here is pathetic, there is proliferation of associations here, there is hardly a commodity with just an association in charge of it, am an assistant general secretary of a reputable association here in the state. My farms are located in Ado and Iyin. The cost of setting up a farm is very high. The state govt has no buldozer living the farmers at the mercy of private owners who charge between 75k to 100k to clear an acre or less depending on the thickness of the area to be cleared. There are lots of issues about farming in ekiti begging for resolution. |
