probably poison! give them lots of palm oil, but if its disease , separate them immediately and away from that premises before you continue with their treatment.

Haaaa oshogbo, he's an elderly man, I'm not sure he can travel down to oshogbo, and like wise u bringing ya dogs down here, I'll suggest u ask around for a good registered vet, or better still go to a government vet, I'm sure osun state will have a vet clinic, go there my friend and act fast, parvo virus is very contagious.

Ebola recently surfaced again in Liberia. 2 patient died. Reports have it that the patient had eaten dog meat.

They had two dogs one fell sick, vomiting stooling and sitting blood. And died shortly after. The other dog took ill too days later. These dude decided to eat the dog. B4 she dies. And they did ate her.

Days later they fell sick and noticed same symptoms their dog had earlier.

That is the exact symptoms of EBOLA.
Vomiting
Stooling
Sitting blood
Fever.

Run folk. Stay away from ur dog and ur vet. Dnt mk contact wit fluids from ur dogs for now. Observer ur health and run to hospital when u feel u r falling sick.

I was at my Kennel 3 Days ago and my 4 Month Old Rottweiler could not eat anything instead she was Vomitting and Passing out Blood from her Anus, before the Arrival of the Vet, The Dog has given up.

Just Yesterday, The Vet came around and he Vaccinated all the Dogs but we lost another Boarboel puppy with the same Problem the First Rot had.

Just this Morning again, I lost another Puppy Boarboel and a 5 Month old Rot Vomitting and Blood from the Anus again.

Please am Afraid and Discouraged, I don't know whats happening..

Someone said it might just be Parvo, Please who has experience this Issue before, Kindly put me through on what to do so this Issue won't happen again, The Vet can't help.

Pls help!!!!

Only 4 dogs died in 2days and u ar shouting,haven't you heard that more than 65people died just one day in last jos boko bombing,70died in a second in zaria bombing today,30 died yesterday in a minute at an accident bw luzurios and truck along Okene rd,and u ar here crying for dead Dog,shouldn't you thank God you arnt dead yet,or,are you suposed to still be alive?

Please explain to me how the op was careless and deserves no pity? Are you a vet? Because honestly that statement is unwarranted. You could have advised him to seek vet attention. He is starting to breed and the truth is he needs to learn. For a person with one or two dogs, the vet is the number one stop even when your dog is 'barking too much'. To someone with multiple dogs who breeds on a fairly large scale, he needs to learn how to deal with situations and know if he has to call a vet, then it's something that needs urgent attention. To paint him as a person trying to outsmart the vet is very harsh and rash. Before you criticize me, I have been to over 100 breeders and know so many with some having over 100 dogs and even have seasoned vet friends who are also breeders, so I know what I am saying. I also owned 18 dogs at some point . God bless!

How competent i this your vet? He vaccinated the dogs and they re still dying, I think you should replace him ASAP. Hes obviously a quack.
Just because he has a vet shop and wears gucci lens doesn't mean his qualified o shine your eyes. e fit be calabar vet. grin

Thats why I always recommend buying local breeds they re more sturdy and adapted to our naija environment, not all this expensive rubbish dogs you buy that cant even last more than 1 year.
Go for our native bingo. Parvo no dey catch am.

Most people have good intentions but they are giving you poor advice.
How can you diagnose and insist you are 100% sure over NL when you haven't seen the affected dogs or even taken a detailed history?
There are other diseases that will produce blood from the anus. Parvo induced faeces has a characteristic foul smell you can't miss and parvo treatment can't be successfully handled as an outpatient case coz the treatment protocol is the same as Ebola.
U need a vet hospital !! To handle it properly as an outpatient case will be stressful and probably costly. Most times, dog owners patronize quacks and say they have a vet. Altho' I know some real vets may mess up on cases. It happens in human cases too.
Vaccines could "fail" or "break" depending on who administered it and the quality of the vaccine so let's not crucify the vaccine yet.

It's Dog Parvo. Happens in puppies. Very fatal disease. Highly communicable. Pass through the faeces and vomit of infected dogs

The dogs were not immunized that's the reason they were exposed to the parvo virus.
They should have been given some shots of DHPP at some points in time: Commonly called the canine distemper vaccine, this is the most common combination vaccine given to dogs.
The initials DHPP refer to the diseases included in the vaccine. Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo and Parainfluenza

Canine parvovirus (commonly called parvo) is a highly contagious viral disease that can produce a life-threatening illness in puppies and dogs. It can be transmitted by any person, animal or object that comes in contact with an infected dog’s feces.

Puppies, adolescent dogs, and adult dogs who are not vaccinated are at risk of contracting the virus. Protecting your puppy or dog from parvovirus could save his life.
Because of the cost of treatment, some pet owners elect to treat their dogs at home rather than leave them at the hospital. This can be a significant challenge because the vomiting and diarrhea of parvo creates a contagious mess that must be carefully contained.

Effective sanitizing and disinfecting of your dog's area is critically important to prevent disease transmission.

NOTE:
Because parvo is so resistant, most common disinfectants aren't enough to kill the virus. Household bleach at a 1:30 dilution in water will do the trick, as will potassium peroxide (look for brand name Trifectant or Virkon).

If you opt to treat your dog at home, you should talk with your vet about how to eliminate the infective agents in your pet's environment.

Obviously, a parvo-infected dog must be isolated to prevent spreading the virus.

Another quick issue. Was any post mortem conducted on the dead dogs? Were diagnostic samples taken from the dogs to the lab for evaluation?
I see someone advicing u to use 3 different classes of antibiotics on a sick dog with compromised GI per os.
As someone new to dog breeding, u shouldn't have started with a lot of dogs in your kennel.
HAKKINS has raised some valid points. If he is who I think he is, he is a well grounded vet.
Pending when u see a vet doctor, please seperate the sick from the healthy dogs and start giving them vitamin B and Vitamin C supplements.
