Seen it at the local market a few times and one day decided to ask a woman what it's used for. she said it's called achara and used for cooking soup. A friend of mine said its only used for achi soups. Never tasted it though. |

The Nigerian Situation. OP that plant is a type of grass. It's commonly used by Umuahia folks to cook soup. Very delicious. it's not elephant grass. This particular plant grows in stumps unlike elephant grass that grows singly in stands 15 Likes 1 Share
