Kentrasso:
UCT, Cape Town is a good school for what you are searching for.

You could also get scholarships.

Try UKZN kwazulu-natal as well. Great prospects there

Please how can I pay for application fees at UCT? Is it possible to pay with ATM card?

Please kindly advise.

I already submitted an online application at UCT.

Thanks.

You can try WITS cos you have a strong chance of being selected since you have a 2.1 and good SAQA rating. Besides, WITS is one of SA's best schools in terms of academic standard and are not too rigid in decision making.
I am currently running my masters programme here and the experience so far has been great. All the best

It means that your passport is ready for collection. Just go to the VFS centre with your collection slip and pick it up. All the best....

In addition to the basic requirements for SA visa application, you can include the following documents:
1) Marriage certificate
2) Letter of Introduction (i.e A letter introducing your family, the duration and purpose of the intended trip
3) Copies of previous visas (If any)

Bros don't waste your time use DHL or UPS. I used nipost last year I don't know where is my documents till now. I used it 3times one was when SA post offices were on strike. DHL is 2 working days while UPS is 3 working days.

I already submitted an online application at UCT.

Thanks.

I'm sure you can pay if you use a credit card.
You can as well ask any person in SA to pay for you and you send the money. That was what I did.

Cheers

Kentrasso thanks for your response.

Please help me clarify this:

I never knew Electrical Engineering dept UCT had Course based MEng program, not until now. Although I had already submitted an application for Masters by Dissertation only, I actually prefer the Course based MEng program.

Since I have not paid for the application fees for the first application I submitted nor sent them certified copies of my credentials, will it be possible for me to apply for my preferred program with a different email address? And hope
I will not be disqualified on the grounds of double application?

Finally, please I will like to know the duration of Course work Masters with minor dissertation in UCT, I learnt the Masters by Research has a duration of 2 years.

I know my questions are many, please try to answer the ones you can.

Thanks.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Kentrasso(f): 1:57pm On Jul 15, 2015
@elnino2015

You might want to contact the admissions office to change your details since you have already submitted. Just send an email to admissions@uct.ac.za or isha.dilraj@uct.ac.za
You'll be told what to do.

Coursework Masters is two years in Engineering same as dissertation. Only independent programmes like ACDI and Climate change offer a year masters.

Goodluck

Hi guys,it wouldn't be nice if I don't come back here to say a big thank you to those that responded to my questions @yinksob002 and @samtol4,tanx a lot guys.
Although,my fiance and I didn't prepare so well for our travelling,we were so lucky that we had no issues at the POE in Joburg.
The immigration guy asked us for the number of days we would be spending and we said 5days, he then asked us for where we would stay I quickly answered (NB: Fiance was kinda scared as we did not book any hotel and had no proof of accommodation) Holiday Inn,OR Tambo, the guy just stamped us.
It was after we claimed our luggage that we got a taxi that took us to Sandton and we got an affordable hotel that's about 5mins walk to Nelson Mandela Square.
SA is a beautiful country, so gonna visit again #big smile#
