This is my first time of posting a topic on nairaland. Hence, I stand to be corrected on any abnormalities in my write up.

I am a born again christian by God's grace and have been in a relationship for about one year and some months now with a believer as well. We have been doing fine together (or so I think) but we don't live in thesame city. I work in Benin while she lives in Aba with her elder brother. She was formerly in Benin until she secured a job in Aba and had to leave.

All along, I have trusted her and have had no reason to doubt her love till this moment and know she feels same for me and I know we are both doing well in the faith by God's grace even though we are not perfect.

My reason for posting this is because recently when we spoke, she told me that she feels we should seek the face of God and know if we are both His will for each other before we could continue. Now, I have always believed that God's will for us in marriage should be a partner that is in line with God's word and standard coupled with mutual love and understanding and not on revelations even though I agree that there are exceptional cases. Now, we have both been praying over the issue and have so far not received any thing except for my personal conviction that I love her and that we are in line with God's word.

Now my question is this- How does one know the will of God in choosing a life partner?
I really need spiritually matured minds to assist in this.

Actually your problem is that you don't know how to recognise the voice of God.

And BTW ppl change, don't think because she's a good Christian now that it might be like that forever. Only God knows the future. That's why its still important to seek Him.

Right now it might even be hard for you to recognise God's leading because your heart has already been clouded by your "love" for the girl. You have to try to put yourself in neutral by being ready to obey what ever God tells you if you should go on with her or not.

Trust me man. Right now you, Might be enraptured with love for her but if she's not God's will for you, you might regret greatly.
