How can a Judge reinstate rascals that were "selected" by some guy from Ubima without the input of Riverians? How can something be legitimate when the RSIEC extant law was abused? How can the LG poll be legitimate when there was a court injunction and there wasn't INEC voters register? This is sad...

The judge must be high on fura and kunu. Sure there is a political influence in this judgement. We shall see how this end. Now the upper court must overturn the judgement. Wike shall surely laugh last.

So this judgment by the NIC can be disobeyed on the basis that it doesn't have the power to set aside the judgement of a High Court considering that this is an electoral case not a labour case that falls within its exclusive jurisdiction.

It is not for anyone or government to determine which court order to disobey or obey for whatever reason. Its also not our duty to interpret the laws of the land as we deem fit. The courts will determine such. At the NIC, am sure the opposing camp would have raised the issue of jurisdiction but the court in its wisdom saw no credence in such and went ahead to make a declaration not once but twice now.
Its left for a superior court to determine if indeed the NIC erred or not. Pending this, the decison is valid and must be obeyed.
Considering the confusion these two equal jurisdiction courts have given therby causing confusion, am suggesting that the LGs be sealed up completely and allocations withheld pending when a superior court (Federal court of Appeal) make her own declaration.

I have a feeling this case was from a suit the LG Chiarmen filed against RSG when wike first tried to sack the LG Chairmen. Which is clearly a different case from the one the High Court Ruled last week.
We need a copy of this judgment

Let us wait and get the details of the fact and the court judgment,Nigerian press are prone to hasty and bogus headlines without full grasp of the fact.

The Amendment basically made the NIC equivalent to a High Court amongst other things

WIke is expected to obey the decision of the court with the same speed he used in obeying the earlier one

The National Industrial Court does not have the jurisdiction to adjudicate the matter, besides it will be an abuse of Court Process. The only Courts which can reverse the judgement given by the High Court are Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Am speaking from the Legal Point of view. Thank you.

Your are right.. But this comment below is what I believe happened.

Because the Judgement sacking the LG Chairmen was given on Friday. It's not possible to file a suit opposing the judgement today and securing this judgment on the same day..

Just so you know, both courts are of same coordinate jurisdiction, and by implication, the later judgement can not over ride the former.

The more reason why the councils need to be sealed off and allocations seized pending when a superior court make a declaration
