Those of us who were in the chambers that day and managed to get the Senate Presidency should be given national honours because at that point, PDP had more numbers than us, the quorum of the Senate was 38. “Since they had more than 38 they could have nominated a Senate President and to remove a PDP/ Senate/Deputy President we needed 73 which the APC didn’t have.”In light of the on-going leadership crisis rocking the National Assembly, Senator Dino Maleye has said the Senators belonging to the Like Minds group of the All Progressives Congress, APC, deserve national honours for making it possible for an APC candidate to emerge as Senate President. Freciprocal: Freciprocal:Dino Melaye and the 'senators of like mind' may though be ambitious, we should still give kudos to them. Looking at the incidence, removing the party interest and being straight, the normal PDP could have highjacked the house process and form the officers among themselves, but they'd already stated they aren't interested in the Senate Presidency. If this had happened, till the end of this administration, there 'may' not be any meaningful outcome from the House. However, the Traitors have no excuse telling us the opposition member could highjack any post, we all know the outcome of the event that morning was a script co-written by the Traitors and the opposition members. |

rubbish! if they had tried to do that(double-cross Saraki), the APC senators present would have abstained from the vote and the PDP guys alone would probably have voted David Mark.that situation could have even been easier to deal with than what we have now.it would then be easier for the APC senators to form a parallel senate house and with the power of the presidency hijack the mace. N.B. But you could still get the your national award from APC Mr Melaye; the same way your crew betrayed the APC, just get a few PDP senators to betray their party, join with the number you have and impeach Ekweremadu. that way, APC will definitely give you your national award. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Why not summarize? Eg PDP had 50members, APC had 30 and other Parties 5. All this English is useless. Figures will save you plenty of talk. 38 forms quorum is very clear to me. |

He had better decamp back to the PDP as he has a better chance of being celebrated there for betraying his party -- seeing as the PDP supporters on NL are already celebrating him, he should just decamp and make it official. |

Politicians like Dino should be wary of the core values that endear them to their fans. Protecting the core values or appearing to protect their core values is the only way to remain relevant and popular. The 8-Non-Loyal APC Senators (Dino inclusive) may never be able to justify their actions to the APC family. APC as a party has done everything nobly possible to discourage all the APC Senators from voting against the party's candidate. The 8-Non-Loyal APC Senators (Dino inclusive), however, kept the game up through the eve of election into the election day. The APC Leaders appear to have kept vigil and a tab on all their Senators except the ones that jumped the fence. APC leadership pre-election position was very clear and has remained the same post-election. The 8-Non-Loyal APC Senators actions were deliberate ; they should be brave enough to enjoy their victory and face the consequences. chukwudi44:Anything is still possible. APC, with the Federal power, has been conceding defeats since they took over from PDP. A time will come when they will loose their cool.
