Anybody that's advising PMB to forgo probe of d fmr govt particularly the theft of our Commonwealth under the close supervision of GEJ does not mean well for Nigeria and PMB's political legacy.
Anyaoku and others have forgotten that at most in 4years time PMB would meet us at the polls again and if the truth be told more than 80% of people that voted him did so because of his pledge to tackle insecurity and corruption,not for his economic theories or other plans.
If Nigerians therefore do not see tangible results in this regard with substantial funds being recovered and diligent prosecution of looters carried out,then a 2nd term bid for the president would be in jeopardy apart from having his hard earned anti corruption reputation being rubbished.
This is one advice,if SR report is true,that is coming from enemies of PMB and not friends because its akin to killing his political career.

Truth about all this is that everyone reading this story already knows the truth, even though some may not want to admit to the truth because they know it would not favour their interests.

Mysterious disappearances of billions of dollars do not just happen, they are done by human beings. A lot of people also claim no money is missing because they believe admitting to this will not favour their interests. The fact remains that if no money is missing, there wouldn't be complaints of missing moneys; also if no money is missing, no one would be worried when they hear the word 'probe'.

All I pray is that substantial amounts of these looted funds are refunded so that the present administration can have funds to work. I really dont care any more if the thieves are sent to prison or not but the funds should be refunded. With the senseless cries of witch hunting, marginalisation, enslaving and oppression by many not-too-smart people, even if the cases are proven beyond doubt, I am afraid of the kind of destabilising uprising these senseless lot may cause if certain people are arrested. The moneys should just be returned so we can move forward.

If they are proven to have stolen, we would collect the money back and they would be shot right away.

Reports revealed the ‘sum of $380bn or N59tn, and $15.72tn worth of gas assets were alleged to be at stake in the shady deal’

According to information ‘ part of the allegation in the on going investigation includes ‘secret and arbitrary farm-out” of Oil Mining Leases 4, 26, 30, 34, 38, 41 and 42 to Atlantic Energy Drilling Concept Limited and Septa Energy Limited. Kola Aluko

The Illegal deed was reportedly perfected by Minister Alison-Madueke, SPDC, NPDC officials in partnership with the beneficiary outfits’ promoters.

News: The South African Revenue Service (SARS) seized the funds at Lanseria airport, northwest of Johannesburg, on Sept. 5, 2014. The funds held at the SA central bank was finally released to the Nigerian government.

Per Second News gathered from a top security source Tuesday that the money may have finally been paid into one of the numerous government's accounts operated by the former National Security Adviser (NSA) retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki.

Our correspondent gathered that the money was quietly returned to the former NSA before he handed over the mantle of leadership as the NSA, retired Major General Babagana Monguno, on Tuesday afternoon.

The seizure of the $9.3 million drew heavy controversies that had exacerbated tensions between the two countries with counter accusations from both Nigeria and the South African governments.

Relations between Nigeria and South Africa have not been at their best, particularly between the Zuma and Jonathan administrations.

According to a South African Presidency source “By returning this money you get friendship, loyalty and an opportunity where President Buhari is willing to work with us to lead the continent and speak with one voice.”

“Instead of Nigeria second-guessing us all the time, we will compare notes and stop fighting for things like the United Nations Security Council seat that’s not even permanent,” the source said.

“Nigeria is a strategic country that South Africa cannot ignore. It’s a big market. It’s possible South African companies make more money in Nigeria than in South Africa.”

It is believed that South Africa also returned another $5.7 million seized from Nigeria, money which was purportedly to buy arms including 50 M-75 cannons and 200,000 rounds of ammunition. Per Second News learnt that former vice president Atiku Abubakar, using his closeness to South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma settled the rift.
