Except when the issue of ratings came up yesterday, I had earlier soft-pedalled on criticizing and urging Oga Bubu to start work using the militant approach, I figured that these folks have never been in the corridors of federal power, and that it might take up to two years for them to achieve stability and settle down to really governing this nation, but claiming a bogus huff puff 70% on performance so far, so good, felt like an insult to my collective sensibilities.mizmycoli, nothing describe the immutability that's typical of Nigerians than this post . The line in bold got me wondering if you were not here when the nascent or infant opposition party kept asking why BUHARI has not turned the fortune of Nigeria in 30 days which they helped to downwarp for 16 years; of course, their demands call for that approval rating and I can confirm to you that the poll was timely and , we toast to it. PDP can counternand BUHARI's effort as they like, that can't make them(efforts) hidden to any discerning mind. I see your criticism with subtlety, I think , it is ok. |

Mogidi:For crying out loud sake this government is less than 2 months old. I can not remember the opposition then being heavy on Jonathan to perform in few months. People started calling him clueless after almost 2 years in office with nothing tangible to show. Some managers are quick with decision making and they deal with unforseen challenges as they come, while other managers like to make decisions after careful thorough planing. The debate on which is better is for another day. That said, PMB once said during his 2011 campaign that most of the institutions were well set up but the major problem while they were not working as they should is lack of committed leadership. Jonathan had more than 5yrs to make Nigeria work but his efforts did not yield desired results while on the seat. If things are working now including Jonathan efforts of the past that failed to give results in his time, then we should appreciate the leadership that GMB represents. Without doing much government institutions and people are falling in line and we are seeing results because those below know that PMB will not cover up corruption or incompetence. Now am imagining what we will get when he starts taking serious actions. There is no doubt that GMB is a better leader than Jonathan, but even at that I expect more serious actions from GMB in the coming months and years, failure to do that I will be in the front line of campaign for another leader come 2019. But 2 months is just too short to fully access someone. Even new employees are given average of 3 months probation to prove themselves. Let's wait for the first real assessment after 100 days. |

Caseless:I will just go ahead and ignore the big big grammars, we will deal with it on the grammar thread. Of course I know there are lotsa folks who are just being mischievous with spurious demands (which I mustn't fail to remind you, were chiefly orchestrated by the president in the form of campaign promises). Even among your camp, there is an unsettling ease. What we've seen mostly is mainly mouth action, and like I posited earlier, "Nigerians voted for more" it's either you give them more, or expect more backlash. He promised to hit the ground running, not so? So why the delay? Let's not even go into the "PDP nearly destroyed Nigeria homily" I'm pretty sure they were well of that as they toured the whole nation, resounding into the ears of whoever cared to listen, how PDP has destroyed Nigeria and how they are the change we so direly need. At least, show us a blue print, a game plan.... In all 12 years of contesting, surely that must have been a time of Intel gathering, a time of planning, and what have you? As of now, no clear cut direction has been communicated and things keep taking a downward spiral. We wait... When you throw the "PDP downwarped" card, I'm poised to ask.... Who and who make up the current APC?

MizMyColi:As you pointed out in your picture Sis APC are not fresh faces in politics. They have been around for years and had enough billions to spend on policy strategy and tactics, but instead of preparing to govern they decided to funnel it toward propaganda. What makes it even more painful is all they have put forth thus far is making things worst. Those screaming judge him in two years are obviously unaware on how a country can be totally destroyed in 6 months. The blind support reminds me of Hitlar.... |

biafranqueen:Okwu'ebigo. The idea of changing dollars at the rate of 160 will soon be lauded as an achievement. I say it without mincing words. This government gives the impression they are confused. |

@ Mizmycoli, I sight you hun To be forthright with you, am still observing this Government. I don't want to be hasty just yet drawing conclusions on whether they are going to bring to reality or not their pronunciamento. Of course, from what we hear and read, its quite patent that The President means well for the Nigeria citizenry, hence its my earnest prayers/desires that his actions bears tangible proofs to his words. And to add to your thoughts on Dele Momodu's visit to The President, I see it as a case where people who are known to trounce the government through mediums they deemed fit tends to rather play the loyal card when placed face to face with same people they've been known to critic. Isn't that what we termed as being A Staunch Hypocrite? • Where went that daring voice of critic? • Was it all about getting attention? Someone is eager to know. |

luxanne:Lols The patronization in the so called interview was just too glaring, I tell ya. So I just read somewhere that Sambo Dasuki was arrested for other "offences" other than what we are speculating. They say it has to do with a video evidence of Jega and some APC chieftains and other Arab Lords. Zicoraads, did you see that 7D_4life tweet on FP? Lux, my dear, I've just been to twitter and back. Tbh, I don't know what to believe anymore.I hope I'm not becoming confused. |

MizMyColi:backlash or not, take it from me- BUHARI is the most steadfast Nigerian and he won't be troubled by whatever those attacking him would say. Again, in your definition, what does it mean to hit the ground running? If steps taken by him on security (which is our number one problem) does not amount to "hitting the ground running" in a sense, then I'm afraid even if he flies after running, you won't acknowledge his efforts. |
