Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, on Thursday, said seven states in the North have resolved to end the Boko Haram insurgency.

Yari stated this in a statewide television broadcast to commemorate the Eid-El-Fitr celebration, listing the states as Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina and Niger states.

He said he and his colleagues, alongside Service Chiefs, have come up with a workable plan that would crush Boko Haram.

Yari, who is the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, may have referrred to the outgone Service Chiefs.

The governor lamented that many states, especially in the north, were finding it difficult to govern because of Boko Haram.

Assuring the people of the state that things would get better, Yari appealed to them to bear with the little the administration had been able to provide for them during the Ramadan fast.

Yari said this was caused by financial difficulties facing the nation.

He called on those financially buoyant to continue to support the poor and urged parents to ensure they teach their children to be of good conduct at all times.

We've been begging them and all the northern elites to act over the years to end the scourge of terrorism ravaging their people but they all turned deaf ears.

An irony that the mentioned states have witnessed very little BH activity. Is this a way of subtly inviting the spread of BH beyond it's present operational base? Well, let's keep praying for an end to the senseless loss of human lives
