I changed his soap and cream from Johnson to sebamed, then got him abidec multivitamin, he was given afrabvite in the hospital. Can't just figure out what could be the cause.

I heard Sebamed is good even though av not used it on my baby. i give my baby abidec but heard it has two types - one from Uk and the other Nigeria. But i doubt is any of this. still check your detergent, do you disinfect your babies clothes after washing with detergent? i use comfort to disinfect her clothes and when i cant afford it, i use a drop of dettol because most of this detergents have harsh components.

Mothers oooo,i ve not heard this be4....i went to a baby shop to buy sebamed baby cream, the woman there told me that d cream is no longer imported into Nigeria because d cream is a bleaching cream.though I later bought from another shop.how true is it?

Hello wonderful mothers in the house. Please I need help o, had my baby approximately 7 weeks ago and I am still having slimy discharge(stinky lochia), I noticed like 4 days ago it became really smelly and has since remain like that. Called my Doctor and he didn't seem worried saying as long as it's not heavy n bloody it can be normal,
That gave me a little peace of mind but I would just like to know if there is anyone who has experienced this before o because I am not comfortable with the smell @ all and I am not a dirty person. Thanks

Note: smells like stale period pad

Mothers goodevening.i know this forum is not meant for my request but this is where I can get who am looking for.i know how difficult it was for me to handle taking care of my baby and job hunting so I had to take her to my mum for now, till I sort somethings out. Am a graduate and I have searched for jobs all to no avail. I know patience plays a good role here but I do not have that luxury since I have a baby to feed and parents to take care of.i know some mums don't feel comfy taking their new babies to crèches and getting a decent nanny is tough.these mothers are the ones I want to work for.i can take care of your baby everyday and leave when you get home.i was alone with my baby till she got to 7 months so I have lots of experience. Please reach me on 08077313676.however you want me to prove am legit,i will

Please my DS's leg is swollen after immunization and he's got fever. I've given paracetamol and I haven't massage d injection site. Please should I apply anything?, if yes. Please what?

Noooooo, pls don't massage. If d fever is much, u can rinse his body wt water , he shd slp w.out cloth too just to control d fever(cos too much fever causes convulsion. U can put cold satchet water on d site on d injection and after 10mins u remove nd put it again. Or u wrap iced block in handkerchief and put it on d site of d injection. Av u given him piriton? 2.5mls of piriton too helps. U can check google for more info on ds

My sister, I was about asking the same question. Mine is not slimy but it smells like stale period pad. I was asked by my doctor to carry out HVS, I haven't gotten the result yet. I'm 6 weeks postpartum.

at least yours sleeps during the day...that was my baby not too long ago...you put her down 10 mins she is awake...except you are carrying her...then at night every 2 hours

but one day she just flipped and started taking 3 hours day time nap and 12 hours straight sleep at night...

try minimizing noise, swaddling, thats wrapping well in a blanket to give the illusion of being carried, you can try low music as well

but just know that THIS TOO WILL PASS
thanx dear

Maybe you should try and simulate night time for your LO. Though that could be a bit hard, pull the curtains down perhaps and ensure everywhere is really quiet!

if h/she wakes up does he/she cry? maybe you can leave the child lying down in peace if not crying....

avoid doing any activities around/in the same room baby is sleeping in the afternoon too.
Lol. Thanx mama
Hope these helps....

If not free the pikin abeg cheesy

I used Shea butter on my DS leg wen the swelling didn't go down on time. Don't massage it wen putting d Shea butter just rub it gently. Under one day the swelling came down.

@Hernyolar and Completey: Thanks for your referral to Kate Stores. I was able to get the place yesterday and bought sebamed soap. Also saw original Sudocreme. Chai the thing pain me o. Original there is 1,000 while I bought the fake one for 1500. well, i rather went for zinc&castor oil cream which i also got at the stores. my neighbour told me its better than sudocreme and the sales girl there also said so. hopefully that one has no fake yet in naija.

Thanks Jenonye. The swelling has reduced on its own.
@sexiebecky, to the best of my knowledge, I don't think there's something u v to do for ur period to start, it'll start on its own. You can encourage DH to use condom if you're not on family planning.

You really dont need to do anything to start seeeing ur period. Some women dont see their period while breastfeeding until they stop and for some others, d cycle would be very irregular. So to really avoid stories that touch, u av to take precautions.

Comfort is a Fabric softener (it's not even meant for babies, they just put a baby's face on it for marketing). It's actually quite full of chemicals (you're not really meant to use fabric softener on baby clothes due to sensitivity). Dettol is also pretty strong after using a harsh detergent. If you can get All detergent or Tide, those are not as harsh (we can use them on clothe diapers, which are touching baby's sensitive bum).

I'm clothe diapering my LO and I sewed her own clothe wipes, (I haven't used disposable wipes in 3 weeks) so I had to do research on all these and I remember using Comfort as a teenager when we ran the washing machine. It left a residue (like how Dove soap leaves a residue on skin). That residue is what softens the clothes but can be sensitive to some people's skins.

Which Gerber r u talkin bou,the one in the plastic or d paper pack,d one in d pack contains milk and its equivalent to cow n gate while d one in d plastic doesn't contain milk. They r both gud, depends on ur LOs preference. I buy a mix of cow n gate, Gerber n two others so she doesn't get too used to one brand incase of unavailability. Goodluck wink
