Please how does this boost the morale of the boys? There's nothing i hate more than when someone plays to the gallery and thereby making a mockery of our collective intelligence. A hungry man needs food, not words of advice. So does a sick man needs medical care and not prayers. Our boys at the front-line needs better weapons, adequate welfare packages and a trusted life insurance policy not some pieces of Sallah meat.

Enough of the playing to the gallery already. We need competent people to man such sensitive positions not politicians.

Oga to win a war its not just about weapons. U boost the morale of your troops too. Thats the rationale behind relocating the Centre of command to the North east. It has nothing to do with logistics or weapons. It's so the soldiers know that Abuja cares about them and hasn't forgotten them and is also behind them.

while that is true.... small small things like that can help the soldiers.... imagine ur boss at work with poor condition of service in terms of equipments gives u stipends to manage and encourages you.... even if you wana leave, you might wana reconsider cos of his nice gestures... even with better weapons if they are not treated well, they will still not perform as expected. Never underestimate how psychology works wonders

Don't you think it is stewpid to forego one's basic rights to a good condition of service in terms of equipment and COMPARATIVE wage with the boss/political office holder while rejoicing over some stipends huh

Is that why many Nigerians are leaving our country to become voluntary SLAVES in the US, UK and Canada- they also get dashed stipends during Xmas instead of being paid regularly a RELATIVELY good salary?
