I still think Giroud doesn't get as much credit as he deserves. He's not the best out there but he's done well for us so far. I agree we can do better but looking at the market as it is now, getting someone that can offer more than what Giroud offers will cost us a lot of money.

About Giroud, in his current form a player like him is not the best bet to lead a premier league challenge. All those his fine boy football don't cut it for me, I do agree he is grossly underated but then let's not overhype him either.

Did you put into consideration... the calibre of Lyon midfielders and the calibre of Arsenal midfielders...? now put Giroud in Lyon team and Lacazette in Arsenal... now make an analysis on conversion rate and see the difference...

U just askd same question i ask can he match our midfield with that of lyon that lacks creativity? No... Lacazette to me is the man we should go for he has everything u need from a striker; pace,strenght,shot, body balance, agility bt not too good on aerial battle which i knw wenger can work on him becoz i remember when Koscienly joind us that was his weak area bt after a while he got perfect... So To me I prefer a Lacazette than a Benzema or Higuain. Better still bring on AUBEMYANG

Aubameyang and Lacazette are not better that Walcott. That's for sure.

What we need is a striker that can put Giroud confidently on the bench, if not it's useless signing since Walcott and Welbeck can give him all the competition he needs.
