That quote was one of the terms of the Old Covenant which after the people of Israel heard, they replied thus:

Exodus 24:7

7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the Lord hath said will we do, and be obedient.

Meaning it became binding (including the repercussion of unfaithfulness) on all the Israelites and them alone.

The old covenant and its terms was fulfilled by Jesus Christ after which He ushered in the New Covenant as prophesied centuries before. Hence, you neither find the Apostles of Jesus either then or now, killing idol worshippers, rather it has been the other way round.

@ Ops, did u read that scripture very well? Read it again. That instruction was given to the Israelites, for the Israelites. Meaning any Israelite who worships other gods shd be killed. The instruction was not for them to go on killing spree, like the Muslims.
@ops if you justify the killing of christians and jews based on the scripture you just posted, then you are confused. Muslims believe that Yaweh is allah. If he is, then the Christians and Jews don't serve another god, then why are the Muslims so incenced against them? Why do u seek to wipe them from the face of the Earth?
