Voices as you fall asleep or wake up – This is quite normal human experience and nothing too ominous about it.

these are called hypnogogic and hypnopompic hallucinations, and are to do with your brain being partly in a dreaming state. The voice is likely to call your name, or say something very brief, or you may hear other brief sounds such as a telephone ringing.

You may also see strange things, or misinterpret things you can see, such as seeing a coat on a hook as a person standing in the doorway. These experiences usually stop as soon as you are fully awake.

Hahahaha you can imagine... She first said she was asleep and then heard the voice and at the same time tried to deny it being a hallucination.. WTF..

She just needed some spirity explanations conjured by lazy fearful minds.. Sometimes killing and burying these superstitions and myths feels good

brother I know you don't believe in spirit or supernatural and that does not mean they don't exist if you doubt supernatural force ,PLEASE TAKE A BELL GO TO BURIAL GROUND BY 1 a.m , ring the bell three times and see wonders what you see convince you that there is super power somewhere. You are Just talking nonsense. White guys say what you want to hear.

its not an hallucination at all because im mostly aware of wat is happening in my surroundings wen asleep.even wen they brought lite i heard d sound of d fan from my sleep nd it woke me up.the sound i heard yesterday was comin from dad's room callin my name nd it woke me up.

I have witnessed it before. Someone calls and you check and see that they are not there. For me, I immediately knew I had hallucinated. I also every time I had sleep paralysis. Once I had this sleep paralysis. I heard a voice at my window saying I will die that day if I stepped out of the house. The sound of the fan woke me up. I went out and I never died.

Something similar has happened to me too. Almost died on my bed 4yrs ago, was partially awake when i got attacked by a force. It tried to draw my breath away, i struggled hard but no way. I was a gonner until i heard an unfamiliar, very gentle and low voice but yet audible enough. It called my name twice...the second time it called, i regained my freedom. I woke up fully panting for air..

When this happened, it was so real but sooner than i expected doubt cropped in and i was glad to dismiss it as mere hallucination. Itwas easier that way i thought.

Four months later i got born again. From that period till today, i experience several spiritual attacks with my eyes wide open.

But you are asleep...

Whether you are asleep or not asleep, hearing voices without anyone calling you is a normal human experience and it is a hallucination you need not believe it, you can believe your spirity explanations rather.

that is if you know what Hallucinations are

This is called Sleep Paralysis ... it happens almost often to many..

People will run away from the truth because they don't want their imaginary lazy fantasies destroyed by it..

My advice to you as a Muslim.

Firstly increase in dhikr especially those of the morning and evening and the dh"ikr of going to bed and waking. Many people are negligent of these prayers. Buy the book citadel of the believer it should suffice in shaa Allah.

it could be the jinns (demons) that are disturbing you and trying to cast fear in your heart so that you will seek assistance from their friends (magicians and soothsayers) and eventually push you into disbelief. Reciting suratul baqarah chases the demons from the house as the Messenger said the jinns don't stay in a house which baqarah is recited.

try to seek medical assistance, it is not right to always make everything seem spiritual.

thirdly,

please don't make the mistake of visiting any of those religious criminals i.e pastor and those alufa that call themselves Alfa! not to talk of babalawo. They will take advantage of you and even complicate your problem.

The sunnah is to call on Allah directly without any intermediaries. I pray that Allah rectifies your affairs and increase you in steadfastness.

This is one of the joys and peace of shedding off these demeaning superstitions, you stop being afraid of imaginary things

I've not finished being afraid of real things, i am to add imaginary things to the list? No thank you enjoy it that is your mess not mine ..

Now do yourself a favour and stop being afraid of Sleep paralysis
