It's really annoying wasting thousands of pounds in the UK doing M.Sc and getting shitty salary in Naija at the end. It is very demoralizing and annoying. The guy should just accept the offer, gather the necessary experience and in a few years time he will land his dream job.

50k is an okay pay considering he/she as no prior experience...some people with distinctions earn less..some peeps at even looking for 50k job.

I thought distinction is just a grade that'll help secure job fast, as in ahead of your mates.

Some employers may feel like tipping you to attract your brilliance in his investment but that kind of gesture is subjective, not a criterion to earn really big!

Lest I forget, obtaining a foreign certificate does not raise your pay...It can only do little to give you an edge in your job search. BSc/MSc/PhD na same anywhere, you may decide to rubbish it because yours was obtained in Nigeria (sorry, standards palaver), your wage is same for carrying same certificate.

Final Bullet! Think of a way 2 establish (dream of it first, &ways of obtaining finances will be revealed unto u), d number of grads (foreign n local) in naija full ground. Any company can do &undo.

Story.
I've 2 friends who are still looking for jobs. Both excelled in the UK. They're in their fatherland looking for jobs. I guess most of you travelled out of Nigeria when NUC boss said PhD holders are looking for jobs. Forgot o, Nigeria is the giant of Africa.

After graduating with a first class and was hoping my parent will fly me abroad for my masters, to my surprise they said I need to start earning before pursuing any certificate. Reason being that certificates does not put on the table. Wooow! I can't but agree with them after analysing the socio-economic reality of Nigeria.
