I thought they said that pipeline vandals are only and always coming from the Niger Delta! undecided
The guys that run pipeline vandalism business in Arepo of Ogun state and Isawo/Majidun axis of Lagos state are Niger Delta guys, ask anybody who lives or have businesses in those areas. If you see the mansions and hotels built by Ijaw boys in thick forest around the creeks of Mawere after Oke oko.

See how the zoo de values the lifes of its citizens.

The same as the lives of baboons and monkeys

How can 100 people die at once except in a zoo

And nobody is talking

These baboons and monkeys would have been alive if there was social security
FYI, mmost of those that died are rich enough to pay nigeria families social security. They have made billions from this illicit trade, but greed will not let them turn away from the act. Most of the elements who carry out these acts are cultists, hardened motor park touts, disengaged riverine militants and retired military men. The routes are well known, shimawa, magboro, arepo all through the swamps to ikorodu. Bunkering is a way of life in these communities. Go there and see for yourself.

Some of us tried very hard to explain why PMB must allow the local vigilantes(eg OPC and other regional vigilantes)to man the pipelines in their locality but APC came with their usual propaganda, with the aid of a section of the media and the idea was jettisoned, for them every decision is about politics. All in an effort to ridicule GEJs administration and now many Nigerians have died in an avoidable incident, which ordinarily OPC who were formerly incharge, cldnt ve allowed the vandalization in the first place.
This is still a call for state police!
May they souls of the dead rest in peace,as they died trying to survive in a country that never knew they ever existed!
...parkwell...d foolishness a few..shld not warrant legalisation of criminality. .no nation grows that way

You have said it all. And so it is in every sector of this our nation. The most annoying problem is that when you choose to be different, they call you names. This is the toughest nation for a morally principled person to survive in

OIL....

A CURSE OR A BLESSING?
Both. Depending on the usage you put it to.
It is a curse when you choose to be a vandals and a blessing when you choose to be part of nation building by not sabotaging public properties.

you are wrong in advocating for use of tribal militias and Apc is right in advocating for state police which of course will be made up of some of these tribal militias and provide jobs for many youths while improving our security, it is a shame for any government to turn to tribal militias for functions that can be performed by its security services.

Sorry sweetie, don't vent your woebegone on me grin LWKM.

Meanwhile, I can always be there for you, if you want me to wink . Fact is, I am much more handsome than the Chief cheesy cheesy wink

There are naval men, NSCDC officials, soldiers and police in that area, it all boils down to corruption. These officers aid the vandals. In the past 3 years this is the second fire incident in that place. It is a den of vandals. Government needs to do something drastic about it.
Can't these vandals be dislodged?

Greedy people will never learn. So after Jesse disasters in the late 90s, people are yet to learn that stealing and vandalism is a straight ticket to HELL FIRE from a fire on earth. I pity their wicked souls!

Bribery is the bane. Corruption everywhere. the only way the vandals can be dislodged is for those security men to stop collecting bribe and do their work accordingly. You could be surprised that these security men have their own boys siphoning pms for them. This is Nigeria.
