Hello happy people, pls what can one attach to his/her letter when requesting a foreign professor as a supervisor for grad school?

I dont see a reason to attach anything to the email. Your email should be concise and straight to the point; an attachment only makes sense if it is extremely compelling e.g. you published a journal paper in an area the professor might be interested in.

If you include an attachment, it might not be opened for security reasons (given that the recipient doesn't know you, it could be construed as a virus or malware).

Not certain, but he should put a mail across to the embassy (not vfs, but embassy) notifying them of the issue. But I will suggest he claim the account was hacked and closed rather than saying it was wrong (not sure if it matters though). Or better still let him quickly open a fresh account in that name (the one he submitted mistakenly), he might be lucky.

In my own case, my references were pretty basic, no professor or fantastic professional reference. I believe my SOP sold me.
So I guess we can't really measure how important the are but we know for sure that both can determine the admission committee's decision

Pls, when did u do your upfront medical? Did you receive a CIC mail that they need your medical information?

I did upfront medical on June 2nd, I submitted online on June 3rd, Biometrics on June 4th. I didn't get any CIC mail, I just checked yesterday and saw medical passed, then an email notification for passport request message today.

I suggest you don't call anyone (seems to me like a scam waiting to happen, no offence to the guy that gave you d number) I know someone who had almost same issues, just an alphabet was mis-spelt in his passport and he had to go down all the way to Abuja and was charged 80K, no call person, go collect fake passport.
Find your way to Abuja Immigration office, atleast that's what everyone with pp issues here have done.

its 23kg each bag,2 bags re allowed den hand luggage 7kg,checked air canada.

There are exceptions for free baggage allowance not all passengers get waiver for baggage fee.
The free baggage fees depends on
1. Fare Options:Tango(Lowest fare),Flex,Latitude and Economy.Passengers who book Flex,Latitude and Economy get the free baggage fees.
2. Destination,
3. Date of travel (If you booked before 18th of Sept 2014 you will get free baggage fee for one of the bags)
4. If you are a frequent flyer with air canada.
Wanted to go for the local flight option before but the baggage fees truncated such move
But you can check well to fault this claim

I understand you quite well, so no offense taken! You definitely wouldn't have said that if some fools haven't been doing it (I mean scamming people). At the same time, I don't think it's wrong to offer a helping hand. I took my time to explain what I was told, so she could go to the nearest immigration office to her (and not necessarily call my contact). In addition, I stressed how much I trust my contact, but yet told her not to make any payment blindly, without seeing the person. If I knew someone that could help in Abuja, of course I would have directed her there, but unfortunately I don't. So you may as well help her by contacting your person that corrected his own in Abuja, if perhaps, he could link her up. But like I said earlier, no offense taken, the bad folks have spoilt the good ones. So please, you don't have to call that person, just take ur passport to the nearest high court to you, swear affidavit to the wrong name (you may have to go with your dad, since he made the mistake. Just to testify), then go with your passport and the affidavit to the nearest immigration office to you. I believe I've been able to clear the air.
