Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by sholay2011(m): 3:08pm On Jun 09, 2015
GWorld1:As you read part 7, start gathering your documents sharp sharp for Temporary resident visa application. And familiarise yourself with the CIC page (Google 'my cic').
Gathering the necessary documents that would give you assurance of a medical call is the stress sef...not necessarily the application. You can start with holla-ing your sponsor as regards bank statement, bank letter etc.
Then, it's never too early to back one's case with prayers.
I'm not well-experienced in this thing...just my take.

Do it yourself (diy)
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by tnuola(f): 3:59pm On Jun 09, 2015
Do you mean seneca gave you two weeks to get your study permit and attach to your offer letter and then send to them?
If that's what you mean, I'm soRry you're on a long thing o, cuz the study permit takes at least two months.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by sholay2011(m): 4:00pm On Jun 09, 2015
GWorld1:I hired an agent, but at the end of the day, with the much info being dished out here (if one can just be patient enough to read through), I ended up teaching the agent what and what not to do. She was even printing and scanning some CIC forms instead of just saving and uploading them directly since it was an online application.
My take? If you can read through and sieve the right info from past threads, you should simply do it yourself. But if not, no wahala. Time and tide waits for no man.
The koko is you apply rightly and pray for God's favour. It is well.

sholay2011:It's nt dat I don't want to do it myself... bt with my peeps involved I don't want any complication to b my fault... av. gotten enough bashing for nt securing admission early
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by sholay2011(m): 4:18pm On Jun 09, 2015
GWorld1:You wan cry ni?
Do it the way you deem fit. I used an agent primarily because I've been really really busy at work and may not be chanced to go through the whole hassle. Nevertheless, the info gotten from here has been superb.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by tnuola(f): 4:18pm On Jun 09, 2015
If that's the case, then do as your family says, just read from here, so you know when the agent is going wrong.
I wish you all the very best.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Nobody: 4:19pm On Jun 09, 2015
Guy, if using an agent will make you sleep well at night, I'll say go for it.
However, do so speedily and dont waste any more time; the processing time gets longer by the month, to be on the safe side, you should apply befor the end of the present month.
Goodluck and best wishes.

Hi, Nice to meet you.
Do you mean MS.C Computer science or another Undergrad degree?
Google 'letter of intent for study permit online' and draft yours following the format, You can then ask someone in the house to assess ut for you.
If I were you though I wont waste anymore time - September is upon us already.

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by waleakins: 4:41pm On Jun 09, 2015
i mean another degree in computer science. ok i'll. but its written in d letter of admission that it will last for two semesters. due to long study permit processing time in Nigeria and I want to make use of d paper application.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by mevisbleek: 4:44pm On Jun 09, 2015
@ gworld I understand how u feel. Folks been involved coupled with anxiety and all those kinda good stuff. Just relax and do this thing yourself. I know reading is annoying but just go through this thread and u will get all the info I need. All those agents out there don't know anything. A lot of them don't know what they are doing. If u pay one, you find out that u will baby sit the person throughout the process. What people pay agent is to click ENTER. U will have to submitt and the doc and write sop yourself.
Pls don't cry oh. It is well
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by hayqinsbFX: 4:45pm On Jun 09, 2015
youre going for masters and they are sponsoring you. your case cant get more simplified.
the documents stated on CIC and on previous pages as it applies to u will be enouhg.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Nobody: 4:48pm On Jun 09, 2015
Two semesters how? Explain that part, please.
Paper route is perfect for late applications in my opinion; also, because of the lateness of your application, it is within reason that you have medicals upfront so your app is processed faster.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by SeyiMiilan: 4:48pm On Jun 09, 2015
Lol... Hopefully u get d calmness n TRV.. All the best.. Try and occupy urself... We are closer than ever.... @darefestus
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Nobody: 4:52pm On Jun 09, 2015
You don't pay for transmission from VFS to Canadian Embassy since you did your biometrics there. Last Tuesday, I paid N4690 for courier delivery during passport submission since I didn't want to collect it in person. I received my passport yesterday through UPS.
If you wish to send your passport to them by courier. I think you might have to include a self-addressed envelope and pay for the cost of the return. You can discuss that with the courier company. I will recommend UPS.
