it's four years in the U.S. between middle school and college. So it will be a year after the older child graduates from college before the younger one enters college. The U.S. for the most part has a 5 (elementary school), 3 (middle school) 4 (high school) and 4 (college-undergraduate) system. Just a minor point--nothing to do with anything else
