@op how much would it cost? Wanna know and see if I can afford it. My bday comes up in sept and I don't mind having a lil wild fun.

I checked up hotels in Seychelles. Most of them are beach condos and I saw a staggering sum infact it's too heavy to pass through my mouth. lol. Maldives is an island too and equally as beautiful. I saw an amazing beach resort there for 35k per night.
Still doing my research though. Would check up more hotels soon.

I plan to travel to Seychelles not Maldives later this month or early next month. Whoever gets there first should notify each other.

Also, what part of the country are you traveling from as I will be boarding from Lagos(LOS)

While i was in Mauritius which is one of he archipelagos on ha part of he Indian ocean, i was supposed to visit the Seychelles and Reunion island but something came and couldn't. I heard is a breathtaking island just like Mauritius or even better. From he pictures i see of Mahe, it's truely worth visiting.

@deybholar, please visit the site of normadic matt on Maldives, you will be suprise how you can budget your self and stay within your limits. Hotels for $40 and less a night.

Now, you are smart working on getting a buddy to travel with. By doing that you can now pay $20 or less a night. Also for more expansive search go to TripAdvisor, search for topic on Maldives, you will see people's contributions and they are very helpful.

I use TripAdvisor a lot whenever am going to a new terrian, menbers there gives real time advise such as where to visit, best means of transportation, cheap hotels, areas to avoid etc.

I will be in frankfurt this September, I aready have vital information needed from members there as I have never been on frankfurt. Have done a lot of transits there but never got inside to see the environment.

These are good tips for you. Maldives is a nice island, nice to visit. Be careful of them taxi drivers as they know you are a tourist. Ask questions from locals first before jumping into any cap.

Hi people.

I would love to go to Dubai on a week long holiday, but can't find any of my friends interested in coming, so wondering if there are any other solo travellers/cool residents out there might be interested in getting together?


My plan is to do the trip between 28 Sep and Oct 3, stay in a good hotel (maybe 3-star) and then do day trips / tours to visit some of the city attractions, including maybe a desert safari / Dhow Cruise (which BTW, I heard, must be booked for a minimum of two persons), tour the city and visit the markets to see if I can get a few things for myself.


I'd like my own hotel room, but if any other solo travellers would like to book into the same hotel we could meet up each morning and do some things.


I'm planning my trip with Wakanow and so far, it appears to be a good deal.
