Toyin Saraki, the wife of Nigeria’s embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki, this morning showed up at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following invitation by the anti-corruption body, over alleged involvement in a multibillion Naira misappropriation of bank loans and laundering of funds stolen from Kwara State during the two terms her husband was Governor in the state.

Mrs. Saraki was said to have arrived two hours late.

Even though I feel this invite was as a result of her husband’s 'Maradona moves' to becoming Senate President, I can't completely absolve the Sarakills of corruption. Their escapade in Societe Generale Bank is still fresh.

Aside the above, I support anybody irrespective of tribe, religion and gender that can help in the fight against corruption. If corruption isn't killed, it will kill us all. So, if Madam Sarakill is involved in sharp-practices, she should face the music.
