Buhari Happened, my dear MizMyColi.

I'm seriously shocked that this would comefrom a strong PDP mouthpiece.I think I remember you from your moniker. Aren't you the one with English so big that it almost swallowed Buhari?Of course you are. You always remind me of Patrick Obahiagbon (view image below then come back up to read the rest) each time I read your post. funny enough, you guys may make a good couple. That aside, let me tell you what you requested to know. Some group of thieves and cronies to the last Foolish president, fraudulently bought the various sectors of the Power industry. They were notified that what they bought needed some upgrade after their purchase. This was amongst several other contracts agreements between the buyers(thieves) and the seller(thief). So sweetheart, what happened next ws that after all the buyers had bought the entire distribution companies (10 in number) and generation companies(5), they failed to upgrade the purchased utilities. Hence they didn't keep to their own side of the agreement. Now, instead of the federal government to revoke the sale and subject the buying-thieves to penalties, what did the seller(thief jonathan) do? he accepted to be blackmailed by these his cronies to assist them with funds to upgrade the utilities they had bought. he went round, lobbied IMF, lobbied Obama, lobbied okonjo iweala's colleagues at world bank. They all gave Jonathan these money. amounting toTens of billions of dollars. The interest on those borrowed money have been counting since 2013 ending. But you know what happened next? there was no gas to power the bought generation powered plants. The gas players in the industry wouldnt sign contracts with federal government because the bill that would have determined their faith and regulation of theindustry hadn't been signed, that bill is the PETROLEUM INDUSTRY BILL(PIB).

All the above intertwined-nonsense and several others happened in this fraudulent transaction. including the fact that Nigeria generated HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF NAIRA from the sales of these utilities. Butguess what, Patrick? sorry Mizmycoli. Federal Government claimed to have used all the money to pay off all the trained workers of the defunct Phcn. That is they used all the money to pay all the people that were working for phcn before the ex-president's friends bought their place of work over. The story didn't end there, federal government put in place billions of dollars to fund power-training institutes for new workers to be employed by the new buyers. But when Buhari happened, hahahahah.I repeat, when Buhari happened. All these purchasing-criminals know that they fraudulently bought these companies. They know their licences can be revoked if Buhari reviews the contracts/purchase. Hence they had to start performing. To give him the impression that the industry is safest with them.Little do they know that my General can not be deceived. He would get there and we would get them. Even if he forgets, me andmy fellow nairaland progressives&changers would remind him. Our great Comrade/Amazon, Berem and several of us would be there (God bless you all abundantly). So you see, my love:Buhari happened.Sai Buhari (Nigeria's first real president)NB:For those of you saying its due to increase pressure at the various Dams. You all are abunch of IGNORANT-ILLITERATES.Even if the turbines would have more forceto spin faster due to rise of water in the dams, rain isn't favourable to the distribution sector of it. That's why the power is switched off from their centers when it rains. Also ask yourself why this so called rainy season wasn't in favour of power during Jonathan's Regime. The only reasonable defensive-metaphor to this is that: Buhari'sLeadership shall be a RAIN OF BLESSINGS AND DEVELOPMENT ON US ALL.

Amen!!!

First, I want to assure u one thing, for calling Gej foolish, a former president of Nigeria, and someone obviously older than u, u and ur generations will never occupy leadership position even class monitor. You cannot insult a position and hope to occupy it. I want to assure u also that even after ur 10th generation, non will reach 20% of Gej's achievement in life.

Now to ur falacy, when people were accusing APC of sabotaging the power sector people thought PDP was playing politics. Let me ask u, since APC won, have u heard of gas pipeline vandalism the way it was months back. Why did they run away.

Now, u will be tempted to tell me it is the fear of Buhari, that means u will agree that people intentionally decided to frustrate Jonathan's govt to make him look bad, now that he's gone, they have suddenly realized what's wrong. And buhari is a just disciplined man, he has not queried them for aiding and abating felony. You guys have sold ur souls such that u no longer see wrong things as bad, so long as it is against PDP. Goodluck.

I always tell you guys to get your fact right. We are experiencing relative improved power supply simply because pÓwer plants are receiving more gas supply. This came about thanks to the agreement that was signed between the CBN/Bankers Committee and the Power Operators. This was done in 2014 under the able leadership of Ebele Jonathan. The MoU was for the CBN to give loans to the operators so that they can get more gas supply for the plants. Why are people shouting?

my friend park one side. Are you a native doctor to be predicting my future. If being a president would attract to me all the badnames and failures of your God-jonathan, I reject to become that kind of President.

Yes I just wake up dey insult Jonathan. Me and him drag ashaaawoo for your area. if he had respected his age and office we elected him for, I WD have given him more respect.
Nonsense.

Now you asked about the people that were vandalising the pipelines, where they are? where were u when we voted them out along your stupid president.

now u say "people were accusing APC of vandalising the pipeline". if you are daft enough to believe that, then u have to be daft to also believe it was tinubu, fashola and Buhari that held Spanners and screwdrivers to vandalise them by themselves. becos they happen to be the only APC members that had enough security backing to pull such acts under a pdp-led government.
With all them nimasa, Tom Polo, opc, army and police under the payroll of PDP.

Bros Barcanista,
Na only you waka come? Hope say your crew no follow you ohh. no shaking, let them come. we should all be here to learn and for the betterment of out country.

I disagree with you over the reason you gave to why we are experiencing improved power.
I am very aware of this m.o.u.
fine, it was signed under your able leadership Ebele Good luck.
but it was signed since middle last year 2014. The figure was 213billion naira. it was done under Nigerian Electricity Market Stabilisation Facility.

The only funding done under Buhari's regime was N6.9B. it was done two months ago, June.

This 6.9billion naira, is the third batch of disbursements to not just the gas suppliers, but other arms of the power sector.
Do you know that this 6.9Billion is the third disbursement from a total of N64.62Billion that has been paid thus far?

Meaning Even in Jonathan's Government, over 55billion was disbursed from that your M.O.U by CBN.

I dont need to be educated or endowed with Queens English, to ask you this:
Why didn't we enjoy commensurate supply of power from that august last year when the first set of funding was made under your able leader?

upon the fact that over 55billion was paid to these gas suppliers and other arms of the sector?
Why is it that only 6.9billion has been paid under Buhari and we are suddenly enjoying light like none of us on Nairaland have enjoyed since we were born?

Except of course you are agreeing with me that N6.9Billion in the hands of Buhari is more valuable than N55billion in the hands of your ABLED-LEADER?
Of course, we progressives knew the above that's why we kicked your leader out of office and replaced him with someone that would use far less money to achieve more result.

Oga, its either you are telling me the above or telling me that after the m.o.u was signed by your abled-leadership Ebele Jonathan, he ordered that the effects of his m.o.u and 2intallmental fundings worth 55Billion should not have any effects till Buhari kicks him out of office and utilise 6.9Billion to achieve better results.

lol...see who talks about getting facts right...you love to sound like you are in the know ... Sorry to burst your bubble man..., but enough of that bullsh*t you feed gullible Nigerians with, the campaign periods are over.

1. The relative stability in power as experienced today has nothing to do with your cock and bull theory...you tlk about more gas supply...today Nigeria generates only about 4,650 MW .... Similar to what GEJ had always claimed we generate. While power generated remains the same...here we are enjoying 70% stability post May29 2015.

2. You lots seem so confused as to how else to deceive gullible Nigerians. First, you claimed it was the rainy season...the season is almost over...so you now shift to the trash about gas supply... Gas supply according to your theory improved since 2014....so why did power stability chill till May 29 2015? ....was GEJ so clueless as not to know how this alone would have earned him a second term?

3. Does it not bother you that your cock and bull story of gas supply improvement only started after the withdrawal of militants and touts earlier used by your party to protect gas networks?

To add to your submissions, political gas pipelines vandalism has drastically reduced to near zero.

They vandalized everything to make their propaganda work

NERC chairman Dr. Sam Amadi said : “At present, 18 of the 23 power plants in the country are unable to generate electricity due to shortage of gas supply to the thermal plants with one of the hydro stations faced with water management issue. This has led to loss of over 2,000 megawatts in the national grid.”

According to him, in the last couple of months, electricity supply has been generally poor on account of increase in vandalism in the run-up to the April 2015 elections.

The agreement you keep talking about has been in existence since about two years now. And the CBN has given loans to the gas suppliers on many occasions before now. How come there was still no gas to power the transmission plants.

Please, tell me about APC government and achievements when they constitute a government and not before that.

Did Buhari or APC privatize PHCN or were they responsible for investments in TCN?

What exactly is APC's take and contributions to talk about?

Is there any additional protocol or institutional framework put in place by APC to discuss.

Please, take your hero worship and sycophancy off my mentions and continue with your Js3 colleagues.

There are many threads on this platform on improved and constant power supply under Jonathan hence what's new?

It was evident to discuss about the sabotage and temporary setbacks after numerous threads on Nairaland celebrating improved power supply across the country except in university of Port Harcourt were otorx will always tell us "No light".

Amen!!!

4ck it, who needs LaLa. When I got my Fellow progressives behind me!

Yes Buhari happened hence APC thugs under the control of Amaechi stopped vandalising gas pipelines.

Has Buhari bought a single gas turbine since May 29th?

Please, tell me about APC government and achievements when they constitute a government and not before that.

Did Buhari or APC privatize PHCN or were they responsible for investments in TCN?

What exactly is APC's take and contributions to talk about?

Is there any additional protocol or institutional framework put in place by APC to discuss.

Please, take your hero worship and sycophancy off my mentions and continue with your Js3 colleagues.

There are many threads on this platform on improved and constant power supply under Jonathan hence what's new?

I didn't insult you, but if you interpret any of my words as insult, I honestly apologize.

Sorry if you were offended by my choice of words

Goodluck.

Going by your logic, a pdp government is in power and opposition party is sabotaging it's effort, yet with the enormous power vested on the president he couldn't do anything to curtail it. if your assertions is true, then Something must be wrong with Jonathan leadership skills.

I wanted to say something before but when I looked at the username I rest my case.

The man was the biggest error of the century Nigeria ever made. Even Bayelsans have agreed to that. TANoids here are only crying because of what they lost. Jonathan was the only president who ran a government where people who don't work earn more money than those who work. Who does that? March 28th should be Nigeria's true independence day I swear.
